Also, what are you thinking about when you're lying there? If you're singing in your head and talking to yourself, etc. then you'll have a really hard time getting to SP. You have to relax. Focus on your breathing or something. That always helps me.
I do the "one- I will be dreaming" type of thing, and when I do that and focus entirely on that it seems to relax me + I begin to white dots, but how long do you do it for? When do you know when to stop focusing on breathing and work on trying to devolop the white lights?

If you are doing auto-suggestion, saying "I will be dreaming" is wrong. The correct way is "I am dreaming", "I am in lucid dream" etc, i.e. you should use present time.

Also, there's not really a set time before SP hits. If the white lights are appearing, then you're on the right track. However, when they appear, don't start thinking, "Should I focus on these?" or "Wow, lights!" etc. Just keep focusing on your breathing. Try to treat the lights like background noise.

Also, everyone's different. Just because you've read that during WILD you may experience HI and/or HH, doesn't mean you will. However, from what I understand, you're on the track to HI, but what I'm saying is: don't base your WILD experience from what you've read. Did that make sense? .

Different techniques work for different people, so just keep trying until you find one that works for you.

Based upon your dislike of staying still for so long (at least that's what I implied), you might want to try the Yoshi method. Basically, you move every 7-10 minutes to a different position.

Don't worry about not experiencing HI or SP. Many people don't experience these at all. That's okay, as long as you can enter a lucid dream.

Don't be discouraged if you can't WILD immediately. From what I've read I these forums, it takes most people a month or two before their first successful WILD.

Keep trying, experiment with different techniques, and you'll get it eventually.
