Are these 'vibrations' experienced during WILDing real?

I've always wondered this. Where do they come from? As in, could someone sitting next to you feel them in some way? Or, are they inside your body? Is it just a mental hallucination?

Sorry if this has been posted before.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I am not sure, but they are probably a mental hallucination

      The vibrations are non-physical.

The exact science of vibrations is currently incomplete, so can't tell you much more.

I don't think it's actual vibrations but I don't know where they come from or why you vibrate in the first place. Reason is I remember having really intense vibrations where I was pretty much shaking in my bed ~4 years ago and my sibling near my bed didn't wake up

I've been doing a lot of research trying to figure this out. The vibrations have really caught my interest. I haven't been able to find much about it though unfortunately. If anyone does manage to find something, please share.

great question! i can't attest to vibrations... but on occasion i have had dream orgasms and felt my body phsycially move as i went over the edge... it was all i could do to stay lucid.

i am guessing (just guessing) it's a continuum. after all, mind and body are just mental contructs. if you are in muscle atonia, that wouuld argue for no movement. but what about the HH state? it's transitional.

IRL, we are just one energetic being who is labeling ourselves as "dreaming" or "awake" (etc.) . so when the vibrations get strong enough in the HH phase, they *should* manifest.

i study chi gung. the vibrations can be very sublte and still intense. but at some point they are measurable.

My interpetations of the Vibrations are this:

I have read that the brain disconnects itself from the body and that the vibrations are part of that disconnecting process. Why it would feel like vibrations I do not know, however, think about this..

When your leg falls asleep from a wierd angle... It is falling alseep from loss of blood flow, and therefore loss of connection to the brain, resulting in numbing vibration needle pinching feelings.. if this is the case as the connection to the brain is disconnected from the leg, then it also makes sense that you would feel a similar or greater feeling when the brain disconnects from the entire body right?

To me, the vibrations feel like an enhanced version of the numbing sensation of my leg or hand going to sleep when I have it angled awkward, so I personally believe it is the same sensation.. it is the sensation of losing feeling altogether, not the sensation of any physical feeling being put on the body..

This sounds right to me. Thanks for posing such an interesting question though.

What you are referring to is Paresthesia...which can be caused by putting pressure on a nerve for extended periods of time and results in a "pins and needles" sort of sensation due to disrupted neural signals. Paresthesia is not associated with sleep however and is usually felt on the skin and described as tingling, prickling, numbess, and not vibrations. Also the fact that paresthesia occurs to alert the mind that something is physically wrong with the body makes me think this is different from the vibrations felt during sleep, since sleep is a natural healthy process and there is no reason to alert the mind to a problem in this case. So I do not agree with your assertion that the vibrations are similar to or have the same cause as pins and needles. Also I know for me personally, they are two entirely different sensations. But I think you are definitely on the right track in looking beyond esoteric explanations and considering the psychophysiological basis of vibrations. My own research on this subject has led me into learning more about neural oscillation...which is incredibly fascinating and I recommend anyone to read up on it and tell me what you think about it's connection with vibrations.

      Chakra

The vibrations are your energy flow and chakra throughout your non-physical body

That's one theory, yet how to confirm that?

That's interesting. I've never considered this before.
