how'd I get lucid? like what method?

Wanting to know what method caused me to get lucid. The past few weeks I've been doing awareness and reality checks very frequently but eventually stopped because I got annoyed with them. But within a week or two of me doing this practice I've gotten a dream where I just realized I was dreaming. Another dream realized I was dreaming. And maybe another. Some of these dreams I used reality checks after suspecting I was dreaming. Also in the dream itself, when I pinched my nose, it felt weird. Like I pinched my nose, but it didn't FEEL like I was pinching my nose, so to speak. Anyways, I was able to breath through my nose in my dreams so I knew I was dreaming. But a few of these dreams I didn't need to rc ams automatically knew I was dreaming.

Anyways, I stopped the RCS and awareness about a few days (perhaps a week) because it honestly annoyed me.but during that time, I was also doing mild so that could have contributed to my success. Anyways the last few nights I weren't getting any sort of lucid, but just this morning I did a mild visualization in which I just kept reminding myself that I was dreaming, fell asleep, and then realized I was dreaming. But it was a product of skepticism and then reality checking to conform that I was dreaming.

So I am honestly not sure if my awareness and reality checks got me lucid, or my mild. Because like I said, the past few nights I wasn't getting any sort of lucid but when I milded this morning, I get I get one. But, I got lucid using something I stopped practicing for like a week (awareness + RCS)

I'm wanting to think that its the mild that got me lucid but I'm not sure if it was the other two as well. Maybe I should start practicing awareness and reality checks again before they stop appearing in my dreams all together xD

Also whenever I practiced mild in the last two weeks, it ALWAYS gave me a dream that had some elements of lucid dreaming in it. Last week, it gave me a lucid but AGAIN it was using a technique I stopped using for like a month (CANWILD)

So I'm also wondering if its normal to get lucid with mild using techniques u stopped practicing for quite awhile.

Look up FryingMan's "perfect storm" analogy. There is no one particular thing that brings lucidity in dreams, but I would say that all of the work you were doing (RCs, etc.) contributed to heightened awareness during the day and during dreams. Heightened awareness = better chance at lucidity.
