It's cheating when they do it.

      Yeah, seriously. XP

Luckily, DCs are very susceptible to emotional control. Hell, I could have probably made him want to kill himself, if I desired it. Something to consider for next time. . .

Hm... I think I'm better at inciting chaos than controlling them. My belief in free will is deep-rooted, it seems.

      That it is.

Free will is a silly concept. If you know how someone thinks, you can get them to do whatever you want, while they still believe it's their decision the entire time. That's how I always win at Risk, and most other games, actually.

I'd also go into the idea I came up with when I was 8 (that everything has already been set in motion and will only ever happen one way, due to the laws of physics), but quantum blows that out of the water, and the above statements are more fun, neh?

Well, that guy was your DC, a DC is just an illusion created by your mind, so yeah, you could make him do whatever you want. A DC, an illusion with no mind or consciousness, can't have free will. That's not quite as easy to do with another dreamer, though sometimes it can be pretty easy if they're not lucid...

It's as easy to do as IRL, I'd assume. Probably easier, since I've got other tools to work with.

If there are factors manipulating someone into either choice, it's still a choice. Having free will doesn't mean people are going to be smart about it.

Don't know much about quantum physics, but I always hated that theory.

The universe doesn't arrange itself according to my whims, unfortunately.

      Haha, fair point.

Well obviously, but the fact that it's possible to do something like that is just lulzy, IMO.

Quantum is the only theory we have that can legitimize free will. Under purely Newtonian laws, free will is a laughing matter.

That's why we've got lucid dreams, neh?
