Are Your Dreams More Fantasy or More Reality Type?

From reading on here I see some really cool fantasy type dreams, with creatures and some really strange type dreams with things distorting. They seem so exciting. I am not sure why but visually I have a really hard time telling the difference between dream life and reality anymore... they are so similar. Sometimes things will be off a bit like my house is not my house, the normal stuff, but not by much and only if I really look. Is that because I never tried to RC? My RC is more intuition based and just knowing I am in a dream. Don't get me wrong...I really appreciate that and now more than ever, but curious why some people dream all over the place and some people are just like continuing their life in a dream?

When I dream about mundane things its not any different to me to when I dream about having dragon powers or flying to the moon.
As everything is just a symbolic representation of something. So for instance I always dream about being on holiday and also work.
Work is the best thing my subconscious can think of to represent the things I am fearful of and holidays the things I want.
Or another way of putting it, I have invested the most amount of energy worrying about work and wishing about holidays (or escaping work).
So both can be found living it "large" in my subconscious.

However, maybe unicorns personify something real important to you, so they will be in your dreams and if giant beach balls symbolise something real dark and scary to you (bit like phobias) then you might have to face off a whole army of them in your dreams.

      On a side note:
My lucidity is not triggered by the bizarreness of the dream as I am so absorbed in the emotions of the dream, like watching a movie.
Also the fact that I know in the dream I have the power to do anything I want, even rewind time and start the dream again, also does not give me lucidity.
As long as I am the actor and not the observer I am trapped.

Incidentally I know that waking state is not really any different from dream state but as yet it is not my experience.

Thank you Nebulus for sharing that. I have found myself trying to analyze and understand more. I hate to admit this but I just always loved and appreciated my dream life but never studied it and until recently I didn't know my dreams were all my experiences and knowledge. I am still having a difficult time processing that all of my life lessons and teachings by the Voice in my dreams have been from my own mind. I learned so much from my dreams. Everyone here is so knowledgeable about dreams, I am amazed! I feel like a sponge trying to absorb all I can.
