any ideas on what my lucid dream meant?

Hi cool forum! I like to read about other peoples experiences. I had one of my own that I'd like to try and get feedback from, I'll explain how it went I'll try and be as brief as I can:

In it I was wandering around on my own in my old High school which closed down over 45 years ago (I am 76) it was actually demolished 7 years ago. So I was looking in every room I remembered being in when I was a teen, it was sad seeing everything looking so run down and lifeless in time. Many happy and sad memories flooded back. I eventually reached the main assembly hall which looked how I remembered it only a lot dimmer and worn out after 45 years. I started hearing like a slight high pitched sound and it got louder and I looked around in the hall and it seemed like everything was 'reversing' in time I mean the colors were getting brighter and broken tables and such things were re-attaching themselves and standing upright as they went back in time. It all then looked just how it did 45 years back. Suddenly I heard a massive applause of clapping, I looked round and saw hundreds of people standing there clapping looking at me only a few meters away in a large circle just clapping and looking at me with a sort of approval and smiling. I felt scared and intimidated but I noticed all these people were teens I went to school with and many were my friends or other kids I simply knew from my year at the time and they all looked just how they did back then and all looked around 16 or so still. I stood there confused. Some of the teens I recognised as actually being dead in real life too including my best friend who died in a car accident 20 years ago whom I went to High school with. I looked at him I was surprised he was alive as I knew in real life he was dead I was sort of wanting him to explain to me what was going on. He did not seem to respond much other than just carry on nodding and clapping at me with everyone else. The clapping sound seemed to get louder too which made me uneasy.

After a while my dream seemed to end and I woke up relieved it was a dream. It reminded me of a movie I saw many years back although I forgot the name of it but the scene seemed similar although in the movie it was not a dream.

Anyone shed light on what this may mean? I just trying to get insight here I find it interesting yet somewhat creepy also yet its one of the most lucid dreams I think I have ever had.

Your past is proud of you, happy to see where you've gone in life. Things that are long gone are still alive inside of you.

      Welcome dell.
Were you aware the whole time that you were dreaming? Also, did you have any control of the dream?
If you were simply a witness to the dream or otherwise you simply remembered the dream well, I would agree somewhat with Avian. My take is a tiny bit different though. I would say you have a bit of nostalgia about your school years and see yourself as having done something well.
If you were able to control the flow of the dream, then it would be much harder to decipher.

Nah I was lucid enough to know what was going on and was controlling the dream. I was genuinely confused and stood still where I was when the people appeared. It seemed exceptionally real and I am no stranger to lucid dreams.
