Exclamation Help! OmG!!! My FIRST FULLY LUCID DREAM!! Help please!!

So, this morning, I finally had my first fully lucid dream! I was SO HYPE when I woke up! However, I think that it could have gone a lot better. If you have any tips or suggestions as to what I should do the next time I become lucid, I would love to hear your responses.

      Anyway, here is the dream:

-I "wake up" in the bed of my room. It feels EXACTLY how I usually feel when I wake up. However, my sleep mask is not on. (But, that doesn't trigger my lucidity.) I remember being in bed and thinking about the concept of success. I'm thinking to myself things like,"Well, if nothing changes, then you won't see results." I start getting out of bed, but, I don't put on my slippers like I usually do. I continue thinking to myself,"If you don't want success, then DON'T be patient and DON'T do the hard work." I'm now at my doorway and my door is open. I don't remember opening the door, though. Either way, I'm standing in my doorway. But, now that I look across to the other side of the hallway, I see my little sister's dog, Prince, who had passed away recently. He is stretching like how he usually does when he first used to see me in the morning. I'm slightly puzzled at how real this reality feels and yet, my sister's dead dog is there. Somehow, I appear 3 feet in front of me. I immediately realize what this means. I face to my left, press my back against the wall behind me, and say to myself,"I'm dreaming. This is a dream!" I face towards Prince again and look above him and say,"Clarity NOW!" My vision immediately gets better. But, it's still a little hazy/blurry. And oddly enough, there is still a little area in my vision that is still blurry. It is as if I am wearing glasses, even though, I know that I'm not. (In WL, I wear glasses.) I start walking down the hallway. I reach my sister's room. I don't remember if the door was already open or if I opened it. But either way, I enter in the room. It is an exact replica of my sister's actual room. I look to my right and see the clock that she has on her TV stand. It says,"7:39", in the exact same font and the exact same shade of yellow-orange is surrounding it. I'm trying to remember my dream goals. I remember that I wanted to see my dream-guide. But, for some reason, I felt that he wouldn't appear. Now, I see Prince moving around in the hallway to the right side of my sister's doorway relative to me as if he is waiting for me to embrace him. However, I feel that if I try to embrace him, he will turn into a wolf and bite me. So, I make sure not to do that. I now exit my sisters room and I'm in the hallway again. I'm walking towards my room again. When I reach about two or 3 feet in front of my doorway, I make a 180° turn and look back towards my mother's room. I remember and say to myself,"Oh yeah. I wanted to do Thoron." (Thoron is a move that a character named,"Robin", in a game called,"Super Smash Bros. for Wii U", does. It's basically a huge, powerful, yellow beam of electricity.) I continue to look at my mom's room and think to myself,"But, wait. I can't do that HERE. I would wreck the place." I wait a few more seconds and then I wake up.

I would really appreciate any comments on what I did wrong, how I should correct them, and suggestions on how I could have made this dream more enjoyable and "successful".

      Please and Thank You,
      Ajanime22

Congratulations, I could almost feel your excitement by the way you wrote your post ehehe

I'm sorry if this doesn't seem helpful or encouraging, but I wouldn't say you did anything wrong: it's your first lucid dream! It's the dream which gives you the first window into the amazing experience of your own personal nocturnal reality, and it's meant to be savored and enjoyed for what it is ^^ On a personal note, if I had to define a significant aspect of my first lucid dream, it would be my state of "awe": I did some dream control, but I just felt like laughing the entire time at the weirdness of the situation!

On a more practical sense, I'd say you deserved that lucid dream for sure: from your report it was clear that you were been sensing something wrong before you got lucid (many lucid dreamers also have their first due a simple matter of incubation, not that there's anything wrong with that!), and that's the posture that you want to adopt throughout your daily routine: try to break free of your auto-pilot and WONDER, QUESTION, DEFY.
I'll also disregard any dream control advice for a simple reason: becoming lucid should be your first goal. You might have a clear notion of how to perform dream control, but if you're waiting months for a lucid dream, then your experience will be underwhelming and short, because you were planning too much too early. So just enjoy your next lucid dreams for the unique experiences that they are, try to do things your way (do you know why most people have such an easy time flying? Because they just....do it), and absorb the aspects of this world, what's making you aware of it, and always keep in your possession the thought that you might be there at any point in time.

Good luck on your next lucid!

Thanks, Zoth. I will try to just enjoy lucidity in itself for my next few lucid dreams. In the dream that I wrote about in this post, I was just walking around and observing the dreamscape. Maybe I'll do more of that before I try to do anything crazy like using powers and such. The whole time I was lucid, I felt kind of anxious and on edge. So, I'll try to breathe more and calm down. I think I was also severly lacking in confidence, not realizing that it was MY dream and what I wanted to happen would happen and that regardless of anything, I would be safe. Lol. Why am I answering my own questions?

Anyway, thanks again for the encouraging words, Zoth.

      Congratulations, Ajanime22!

I think that one of the most important attitudes you could have to lucid dreaming can be summarized as "always be ready!".
This basically means that you should never just assume that you are awake without double-checking this a few times.
For example, try reading some sentence in a newspaper and then look away and think about something else for a while, and then quickly look back at the same sentence again, and try to see if the text has changed in some impossible way.
This is one of many so-called "Reality Checks", which are checks for something impossible that would give away that you are dreaming.
Try developing a bit of scepticism for waking life itself, so that you frequently think for yourself "how can I be sure that I am awake right now?", and then test if you can do something that is impossible in waking life (something harmless, of course!), or simply observe the environment and ask yourself if there is anything about the whole setting that feels "off" in some way.

      Congratulations

I wouldn't say that you did anything wrong, but instead you could have done more right when you became lucid. Saying that you want clarity in your dream was great, but it would have also helped if you did some other dream stabilization techniques like rubbing your hands together or touching your souroundings.

Thanks, Laurelindo. In the 18 hours or so before having this lucid dream, along with constantly being aware of what I was doing, I did have a bit of skepticism with it. Thanks for the helpful and encouraging words!

Thanks, UncannyFAE. I'll try to keep that in mind in my next lucid.
