      First Fully Lucid Dream

Just posting because I'm so excited. After six years trying to lucid dream with only a few fuzzy lucids and many 2 second moments where I realise I'm lucid and wake up immediately I finally had a fully lucid, long, incredible lucid dream

Basically I fell asleep and realised immediately that I'd fallen asleep. I was in my bed and it suddenly morphed into a cinema. It was really dark so I stood up from my seat (which suddenly felt more like my bed again) and walked out of my room. I was still in the dark and couldn't make it light just by magicI expected another dark few seconds of lucidity just like usual. But I left the room and expected it to be light outside and it was! Long story short I ended up flying, showing off in front of DCs, running really fast and stealing a dc child's chocolate muffin! (I really wanted to try dream food and the muffin was the first thing I saw).

The best thing was walking along and feeling every step, feeling the wind on my face and the ground through my shoes... rather than feeling all floaty and cotton wooly like I usually do. I just felt like myself, totally aware, but anything was possible. Its a great feeling!!

Congrats on your long lucid! Is there anything you did differently this time? I usually wake up almost right away, had only 2-3 longer ones.

Hope you have many more like this one!

      Congratulations
I've only had one totally vivid, and it ended in about 20 seconds
But whats important is great and that is that you had a really long vivid

      Thank you, Bellatrix18!

Because of your post, I got lucid today! Not once, but twice!

First one was only about 30 sec, but it was awesome. I flew almost effortlessly, in a 'ghost' style (body first, legs follow). I remember thinking amused, that I had just replied to your post saying I have mostly short LDs, and here I am, having and excellent one

This was my second time, when I took 5-HTP at bedtime. I had some success with WBTB before, so I did a WBTB 4:55-5:30am.

      Good luck!

Well congrats to both of you, bellatrix and gab!

Although I think the stolen chocolate muffin may just about trump all lucid events I've read about to date

      Thanks for the replies everyone,

Congrats Gab! I can't believe my post helped someone get lucid!

I think the stolen chocolate muffin may just about trump all lucid events I've read about to date
Lol I woke up laughing about that part! Plus the muffin went all rubbery and stretched as I tried to pull it out of his hand. I was there for a good 30 secs pulling a stretchy muffin out of a crying five year olds hand

I don't know what was different. It started out dark like the others. The difference was that I didn't wake up and it turned amazing and very vivid. I have no idea how because I was expecting to wake up prob what caused my previous ones to fail!

Since this LD i haven't got lucid but I've had epic normal dreams. Keep spending the good part of half an hour every morning trying to write them down. Can't wait til my next lucid!

BTW Ibis I love the teleport tip in your sig- I'll have to try it!
