Thread: Tami's bits and pieces~

Some of my photo edits (pics are a webcam snapshots, so the quality sucks):

I've been trying to produce drawings without outlines. So here's a sample:

Very well done, I say. Those drawings (both in CS2 and in MSpaint) were
excellently executed. Your game-scene snippet is very reminiscent of Final
Fantasy. The foam dragon, too, is innovative. Is that your idea?

Also, do you have a deviantart account, or some other page where we can see
more of these?

Yeah I wanted to get that snapshot to resemble something like FF. And yeah the foam dragon was made from scratch for a art project. We had to make something outta junk. xP The teacher gave us no ideas. Just gave us size limitations lol.

Ditto. Regardless, there are some pieces you have there that I'm a bit surprised
you hadn't posted straight here. You appear to be very good at drawing lips,
for one thing (seriously). How long have you had experience with tablets? I
swear, it's one of those things I've been dying to get but never get around to
spending the funds on. The advantages show themselves in art like yours time
and time again, things I could never replicate with all of my uber photoshop
path-tool skills and a mouse.

Erm,well looking at my DA account, I was still using the mouse up till the year 2006. So I suppose approx 3-4 years with the tablet. I recommend you get one! Doesn't have to be an expensive tablet or that big (mine's pretty small and not a popular brand) but it does the job.

But when you're first using it, it'll feel weird and rather smooth. But you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly. Personally, I find drawing with the tablet alot better than paper + pencil.

Thanks. Ah, but they can just crop it out since most of my stuff aren't watermarked lol. Oh well.

Thankyou~! I burnt my thumb pretty badly making Dragon #1 lol. Damn glue gun. But at least I can say it was worth it.

Would it be incredibly inappropriate of me to say that I was hoping to see some of Tami's 'bits' in here?

All your work looks very professional, to the point that I have to ask; are you a professional? I've seen some graphic design graduates whose portfolios couldn't match the work you have in here.

I did notice though that you draw your own face a little longer than it actually is. Is this intentional? It sort of makes it look like it is inspired by fashion design modeling, where the proportions are intentionally stretched a little.

Actually, on a second look, it isn't as consistently this way as I first thought.

You're referring to the last drawing I posted? Yeah I wanted a model look.
My drawings differ alot. Cause I take long breaks and draw every few months. Whatever inspires me at that time, rubs off on my drawings.

Not my strong point, but I just wrote a poem.

I like it.

I honestly had no idea i would be "walking" away from this thread in a state of shock....

These are Elite, i mean the ability you have to switch from different aspects of photo manipulation, to a simple program like MS Paint, and then step into PS and slam a bomb on it like those, simply amazing in such diverse avenues of artistic flavors.

I quite drawing for a long time, but seeing these makes me want to "strap the guns" back on and hit the work again... yet, i await the chance to purchase PS and a tablet. In due time, and until then i'll watch this thread for drops of excellence.

As for the poem, it reflects a mind with a diverse vocabulary and excellent word forming skills. It doesn't have any stray points, and it keeps you interested in it. Something a lot of poems have problems with. Great job

Thanks for the poem comment. But honestly, I struggled finding words that rhyme.

i suppose the struggle for words reflects your artistic attempt to make the poem into something beautiful, rather than running with the first thing that popped into your head. dunno though
