Kind of dumb little poem I wrote a while ago.

Romeo said, "I'll love you forever."
Juliet said, "I'll leave you never."

Their parents were rivals, hated each others' guts
But the kids loved each other, no ifs, ands, or buts.

They hatched up a plan--they were going to be wed
But before it could happen they ended up dead.

Sketched a vague picture of Rue from The Hunger Games.

I won a talent show last night... hurray. I have a poem, but I don't know where it is.

I don't have this actually with me, so this is from memory... some of the words are probably wrong.

What beautiful death!
Thou must surely be
For ne'er a living soul should see

This angel of fire,
A sweet apparition
Standing as splendor's precise definition.

No shining white light
Surrounds thy fair form;
Enveloped instead in a fiery storm

And on thy face,
A temptress's smile
Appearing both welcoming and hostile.

Within thine eyes
There lies such fire
That stokes thy fearful red desire!

O, deceit!
No angel is this!
But still she brings forward death's dark kiss.

And so they shall speak
Of how the phoenix is born,
Of how beauty arises from ashes forlorn

But this angel of fire
Has far less in store--
What she turns to ash shall become nothing more.

Take Earth's population
Multiply by 23
Then add all the gallons
In every single sea

The area of the universe
Times the distance to the moon
No, on second thought
Times the distance to Neptune

Throw the seconds since the world began
Into that equation, too
And it won't come close to equalling
How much I love you.

I wish I had some pie
I can't see the sky
Because of the ceiling
It's such a speckled thing

I'm staring at the screen
What do these pop-up mean
This internet is great
It doesn't make me wait

An essay soon is due
It's got me feeling blue
I'd much rather be here
But that is bad, I fear

If the essay I don't write
It'll be an awful fright
My grade will plummet down
And then I'll wear a frown

So I'm just wasting time
With this silly rhyme
I confess that it was fun
But now this poem's done.

Yeah, these poems are... wow. I'm really surprised how well I can relate to the messages in them. I like the one about procrastinating an essay, it made me laugh because I'm doing the same thing and if I don't write it soon I'll definitely be wearing a frown lol

This is the video. It's not the best, but I like it. I'm working on another thing right now; a song and a video for it.

Excitingness... I'm going to enter a contest to be the poet laureate of a village near where I live. I need to send in 3-5 poems, and if I win I get the position for all of 2011, plus $500. Wish me luck.

Also, I have an almost-done poem that I can't seem to finish. I'll post it sometime.

The wolf ascends a lonely hill
Bathed in silver light,
His dark fur faintly shimmering,
Blending with the night.

A full moon lurks behind the clouds,
Stars like diamonds shine,
Cold winds whisper to the trees,
Who softly creak replies.

Silently, the wolf sits down,
Gazing towards the sky,
Waiting for the moon’s emergence,
Letting time slip by.

In his soul a song is burning,
Longing to break free,
Beset with pain but full of hope,
This poignant melody.

I can't think of anything else! Although I know I want to use the word 'quiescent' somewhere.

This poem might seem really stupid. Wow, your mom got mad at you. Big deal. But my self-esteem is so low that for me, being yelled at or knowing someone is mad at me is like getting slapped in the face. I can't take it. I have to deal with so much crap at school, and just as much at home, and all the emotions just build up becuase I don't have any good way to get rid of them. (And don't say "Oh, you can lucid dream, that's a perfect way," because I hardly ever have lucids, and when I do, I usually can't do anything at all.) So any little thing has the possibility of upsetting the balance and sending me over the edge. I'll have a complete breakdown, feel a bit better, and then there's more room for the feelings to build up again. Riding my bike was one of my only ways to escape. Having the privilege of riding it taken away, coupled with the fact that I was already in a pretty crappy mood, made yesterday one of the worst days ever. Yes, I know it's a miniscule problem compared to what other people have to deal with, but I'm not other people. Enjoy my blowing-off-steam-poem now.

You told me I could ride my bike
So I did.
Then you called,
Angry,
Telling me to come home right now.

I didn't know it had been that long.
I was having fun.
Your phone was in my pocket,
I would have called you if something
Happened.

But I must have scared you.
I'm sorry
I'm sorry.
Please don't be angry.
I'm coming home right now.

I pedaled as fast as I could.
My legs screamed in protest,
But I ignored it.
I had to go faster.
You were mad at me.

I had to walk up the hills.
They were too steep.
I was scared,
Because it made me go slower.
And I had to be fast.

Those potholes almost made me crash.
I should've slowed down,
But nothing mattered
Except getting home
As soon as possible.

Tears were streaming down my face.
Did you notice them
When I walked in?
If you did,
You didn't care.

I'm sorry I scared you.
Please don't be mad.
I won't do it again.
I promise.
Just don't me mad at me.

But you said I couldn't ride my bike
Anymore.
So I went upstars,
Took a shower,
And cried myself to sleep.

*Sigh* I feel better today. But I'm p'd off that I can't ride my bike.

I'll write a happier poem later.

Can't think of aaannnythiiiiiing..... My friend and I are inh the computer lab at school and he's trying to make a teddy-bear shaped cracker explode against the wall. He also just found a note on the bulliten board that says "I love hot military men."Goodness,I love this kid.

My last poem got wiped out... but I recovered it! Hooray!

School Is Over...

Not quite with a 'bang,'
But at least with a pop.
Right up 'til the end,
Our crazy antics didn't stop.

Trevor climbed down the sewer
And the teacher flipped out,
We didn't really see
What the fuss was about.

The lockers were cleaned,
Justin found tons of treasure
(All of it's from the trash,
But, you know, whatever.)

Wesley's got plans
For a two-story fort,
Though the rest of think
He'll be coming up short.

Austin O, I bet,
Will be wearing a cast,
That old dirt bike of his
Is not going to last.

There's everyone else,
But I don't feel like rhyming,
My brain's in a slump,
This is really bad timing.

After all, school is out,
My mind's slipping free
Of all the dull stuff
Shoved in my memory.

Now I get to unwind,
Let my thoughts drift away,
And have time to dream
At the end of the day.

Holy cows and chickens,
I'll go prematurely gray
If my crazy little sisters
Keep on acting up this way!

They never stop their shouting,
It's just this and that and BLAH!
I'm at the point of doubting
That they're my sisters at all!

They cry about their breakfast
And they whine about their lunch,
Complain about their dinner,
Grumble, gripe, and groan a bunch!

I need someone to save me
Or my head will soon explode,
It's ticking like a time bomb
And the number's getting low!

I thought I might be dreaming,
But found out it isn't so!
This nightmare is for real, my friend,
Just how far will it go!?

My sanity is waning
And my brain is getting blisters,
All because of those two things
They call my little sisters!!!!

I haven't written anything good in quite a while. I have a bunch of fragments that could turn into some decent poems, if I ever finish any of them...

There was a wall around my heart
Waiting to be torn apart.
I hoped someone would come and see
And care enough to rescue me.

But it was clear before too long
That my thinking had been wrong--
The wall stayed up, nobody tried
To get the girl out from inside.

They built a window, that was it,
Talked to me a little bit.
I plastered on a happy face
And wished to leave that lonely place.

Eventually, I learned to cope,
Hang on to that knotted rope,
I pushed my problems out of sight,
Genuinely feeling alright.

One day I noticed bricks were gone,
Cracked and scattered on the lawn.
The only thought that formed was, "Who?"
I never guessed it would be you.

You helped me up, you got me out,
And now I know without a doubt,
There was a wall around my heart...
I'm glad it was you who tore it apart.

Thank you! <3 I think that's one of my better things, because I actually had some inspiration behind it. Most everything else was just written because I wanted to write something.

Okay, so it was quite a while ago that I said some friends and I had started a band. But we didn't, mainly because we only had a saxophone and a clarinet. But I did write a few songs. This is the only one that I really like, though. As the name would suggest, every line in this song is a personal joke.

The Personal Joke Song

We can save the elephant, and a million other things
Ask if they clean cats every time the telephone rings
Be a poison pointer and brush our curly locks
Comfort poor old Skip, who beheld the funny box

We could spur our moment, or eat razzleberry pie
The arachnids in our craniums really need to die
If we make one bubble, we can make a million more
And hope our prejudice in a bag won’t spill out on the floor

~(Chorus) We’ll fight back all those zombie sheep
We’ll give you a green spleen
We’ll catch some rabid tadpoles
If you know what we mean

We’ll psychiatrate your penguin fish
We’ll give that Oard a poke
But you probably don’t get any of this
It’s really a personal joke~

We can hope those afghans won’t steal our favorite sock
We could make our watermelon theory solid as a rock
If it starts getting pink out we just might go paperclips
Spit pop all over the dog’s food and see how bad he flips

We could pick up that girl’s face—after all, we saw it drop
But if we’re dancing to a wolf, it might be hard to stop
We want to keep the stickers; we got rid of the goatees
And we’ll use our springy reflexes that show up in our knees

And then there was all the 'repeat chorus' stuff and whatnot after that.

Writing this spur of the moment simply because I feel like rhyming.

Goodnight, dear
Don't you fear
In your dreams I'll soon be near
Not a peep,
Now go to sleep
I won't let the nightmares creep
Close your eyes
The sun will rise
There aren't any real goodbyes
