Tell me what you think your personality is...in terms of D&D (dungeons&dragons)

Since this isn't common knowledge, let me explain what the 9 personality types are according to D&D.

Lawful Good: Lawful doesn't mean you follow government laws but people like them tend to do so but this isn't always the case, it means that you believe in order. These people believe in an honor code. A. A good example of a lawful good person is NOT a judge, those guys are supposed to be impartial, a lawful good person would be someone that believes in honor and dignity like a soldier or well organized government that isn't corrupt and tries to help its citizens prosper without doing any shady things behind our noses. Think of Batman. His code is to NEVER ever kill and he follows this pretty much 100% even if this may end up getting him killed. Some say he's chaotic good. But a chaotic good Batman would've killed the Joker.

Chaotic Good: These guys are still good people however they have no regard for the law at all. They will try and help people out for all that is good but it doesn't matter to them if their actions are legal or not, as long as their actions helped someone in the end then that is all that matters to them. A good example of a chaotic good person would be a freedom fighter. If your government turned on you and then a resistance movement formed, the people in this group are fighting for change and freedom and obviously they are against the government which in turn means they are against the law, this makes them chaotic but since there actions and intentions are to free the people from the government, they are a chaotic good group. Chaotic good people are much flexible. If they need to lie and cheat to defeat the bad guy then they would do it.

Neutral Good: Neutral people in general do not care for the law nor are they against the law. These people follow their conscience. There actions may or may not be lawful. They may obey an authority figure but unlike a lawful good person they will not feel the need to uphold any agreement to an entity of authority. If they need to bend the rules a little to get something done then they will do so. A good example of a neutral good person would be Spider-man although sometimes he shifts to chaotic good.

Lawful neutral: These guys believe very strongly in rules and strict codes of honor, more so than a lawful good person. A lawful good person is somewhat flexible between good and following his orders. These guys believe in nothing but the law and traditions. A good example of a lawful neutral person would be a judge that adheres 100% to the law. "You killed this man? Very well, 25 yrs of imprisonment" your reasons as to WHY you did something doesn't matter, the point is you broke the law and now you must pay for it according to the rules. This is the philosophy of a lawful neutral person. Another example is a soldier that never questions his orders. "Good" and "Evil" has no meaning to them. They simply follow what their system of belief dictates.

True neutral: These people have no strong feelings to any of the extremes. A good example is a company that sells weapons to countries. However these two countries are at war with each other. They don't care who will win in the end as long as they can make a profit from whats going on. Or a true neutral person could be dedicated to balance in all things. A soldier who sides with a group that is losing. When the losing group gains the advantage over the other group then the neutral soldier will join the other group instead to ensure that nobody takes full control over the other. In general, true neutral people may do things because it may help them in the end and they could care less who they do it too. "Good" and "Evil" are two extremes to them. Usually they like to play both sides and don't care about either of them.

Chaotic neutral: These guys are the free spirits. They are only in it for themselves. Their personal goals come first before the needs of others and if they do join a group it is only because it will be helping them in the end. They are not necessarily evil but they aren't the most trust worthy of people either. Think of someone like Jack sparrow from pirates of the Caribbean. He is a free spirited person. He may seem to be chaotic good at first but when you think about, he never really goes out of his way to "defeat the bad guy" and usually tries to run away from the situation if he could, however he does shift to chaotic good sometimes to save someone however he usually asks for something in return for later so maybe an opportunist but not evil per se.

Lawful Evil: Like lawful good except...evil duh. These people believe in order just like the lawful good guys however that is because a lawful society is easy to exploit. These guys tend to use the law to their advantage to achieve their own goals. A lazy person taking advantage of welfare would be a good example (This is just an example and I am in no way saying all people on welfare are lazy).

Neutral Evil: Very similar to a chaotic neutral person. Like a chaotic neutral person they are in it for themselves and will only join a group if it benefits them. However chaotic neutral people don't turn on their ally's and leave them for dead.A chaotic neutral person would save you and then demand a favor. A neutral evil person however has no qualms leaving you for dead once they get what they want from you. They are not bound by any code of honor nor do they follow a special tradition. They are not pointlessly violent though. These people do what they do to further their cause, whatever that may be. A good example is if you are an assassin and the person you are sent to kill offers you an even better deal than your previous employer. A neutral evil person would most definitely take the better deal since he or she does not follow a code of honor like a lawful evil/lawful good person does. Assassins fit perfectly into this alignment because they don't kill just to kill, they do it for the money.

Chaotic Evil: These guys are your psychopaths. They commit crimes just for the sake of committing a crime. They do it for the lolz. The best example I can think of is the Joker. He does this to piss off Batman but other than that the Joker has no "master plan" he does the things he do because he finds it amusing to do so.

So tell me, what category do you mostly fall into. I say mostly because nobody is a 100% match. Most people are a combination of a few.

I believe I am mix between lawful good and neutral good. I consider myself a good person and would help those that need help if I can and try to obey the rules. But sometimes I help someone even though it might be breaking some sort of rule...like opening the door for a student at school even though it clearly says on the sign "Don't let people in".
