How to hack computers, techniques, etc..

Just google "XHacker pro". It's a tool that lets you virtually hack any program to do anything you want. It works well with most games, top hackers use it for things like password stealing, shutting down website servers etc. It only takes a few hours to learn so anyone can do it.

The thing I find hilarious is when people say "my hotmail got hacked by my snoopy girlfriend" or whatever, and I'm like... you weren't "hacked"... you stupidly don't logout of your shit (or you stupidly share your passwords).

There's a book you can get called "Hacking Exposed" (I think they're on the 6th edition now), which I haven't looked at, but heard has really good information. The question is, do you want to DO it or KNOW about it. And why?

I want to know about it and know how to do it because it would be useful to learn and would be a fun hobby. If you know how to hack, then you know how to defend yourself from being hacked.

There used to be a hacking website called Ice Fortress, where hackers taught people how to hack and they shared really good hacking programs. The only way to access the website was with a password, which you had to have a little knowledge about coding to find the password on the page. One program that I heard they used to have was a defensive program that would automatically retaliate and punch through an attacker's firewall. Most of the good hackers and programs from Ice Fortress went bye bye along time ago. Not sure why.

Though it has a stigma, hacking isn't bad.

Depends dude... The same skills you'd use to fool around with buddies could be used to hack somebody's finances, personal info, work account, etc.

Really, people need to stay on topic. If you don't have anything constructive to contribute, then don't bother posting. This thread wasn't started to get opinions.

I'd kinda like to learn how to do this too...

Yes. I do know quite a bit about hacking. No I am not a Hacker myself.

EDIT: The links I put up are all safe, not all the site they link to are. When searching for hacking stuff, its a good idea to be very, very, carefull. Be smart. Don't click suspicious links. Use Antivirus. Wear a condom You get the idea.

Firstly, you should really have a very good grasp of how a computer works in general. Know the different parts and aspects of your CPU and OS and understand how they interact and work with each other to form a single working, living, breathing computer. It's very simple to learn if you are motivated and willing to invest a bit of time.

Second, learn HTML and PHP (and possibly CSS) basics to help you understand the structures and formation of a web page. When hacking, an important tool and source of information for you will be the aptly named Page Source (View --> Page Source). In order to understand all the nonsense that will appear, knowledge of HTML, PHP, and CSS is a necessity.

Finally, it would be a good idea to learn a very basic programming language such as Javascript or Python or, if you're feeling bold, C/C++. All programming languages follow a very similar structure so once you know and understand the syntax and concepts of one, it if very simple to pick up a second or third.

After all this grueling research, you'll hopefully have picked up a basic grasp of how the internet works. Depending on what you're looking on hacking (websites, servers, etc.), you'll need to have knowledge of certain things while dismissing your attention from others. Tailor your focus towards the task at hand. Moreover, this basic knowledge will not be enough to do what I suspect you're looking to do. You'll need to apply yourself and continue learning more and more and more and more and more. There is always more to learn. The best advice anyone can give you is "READ!"

Thank you for being intelligently aware of that fact. So many people are so afraid of the very term they simply define it by its connotations. You, however, know better.

Learn about the ethics. Black/white-hat hackers, the manifesto. I know little to nothing about the act of hacking, but I've read a little on the ethics of it. All I can say is I wish you luck on your endeavour - sometimes it takes this kind of knowledge to protect yourself. I had to do some hacker-ish things to un-hijack my computer when it was attacked by trojans/adware/rogues back before I found DV. That knowledge is invaluable to me.

Actually, thanks to that little reminder that I have touched a little bit of hacker-ish activity, I'll say this: learn some Windows Command Prompt commands. Those do come in handy now and then. Other than that, look into Linux.

I had a hacker friend once. He said hacking was overrated.

Personally, I couldn't care less about hacking. I have a feeling it's a skill that will one day be obsolete.

Hacking is a philosophy that dictates the use of a set or sets of skills. The need for obtaining knowledge will never be satisfied, and will never become obsolete.

Although I find hacking interesting, useful and don't subscribe to the mentioned stigma, it's not really for me (anymore?). Even though I did screw with my friends with neat little programs like sub7 a bunch of years back. But that's not really hacking..

Basically, it's all about understanding a system and knowing how to manipulate it. You should learn about programming, network security and tons of other stuff. Seriously - there's tons of branches of 'hacking' and network security. Can't even begin to cover all of them in one post.
