      WILD nap

Last night I went to bed at 12 and woke up at 730 for work. I just got home and I'm about to take a nap. I was wondering if it was possible for me to WILD during my nap?I've read that afternoon naps are easier for using the WILD method

You can definitely WILD during a nap. You should relax as much as possible and have no distracting noises coming into your room before you start. Wearing earplugs helps in case there's suddenly a car honking on the street or whatever.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

So why is it that I can't WILD before I go to bed? I need to wake up first then try it. How is a nap different?

During the day, a few hours after you wake up, you're still in a REM cycle (the part of the sleeping cycle when you can dream). When you first get into bed, you're not in a REM cycle until you sleep for a few hours.

Although it is possible to WILD when you first get into bed, it's extremely difficult. You have to stay still for quite a long period of time, and you have to relax alot. As well as this, since you're not in REM, you might not even enter a dream, but instead drift into dreamless sleep.

It's not so much noise that you have to worry about as it is loud sudden noises. It's possible to WILD with noise going on around you; in fact, some people use it as an anchor.

Puffin is still right, however. Generally, it's easier to fall asleep without any noise whatsoever, so do what you can to minimize it unless you plan to use it to help you maintain awareness.

So did you WILD during a nap or did you just have a DILD during a nap?

Ehhhh that's a good question... I was really focused on trying to WILD but I already knew I was dreaming during the dream. But I told myself I was dreaming and that's when I felt euphoric. I got really excited and I think that was the beginning of my lucid dream.
