      I think i have a good idea (:

I have this timer on my ipod that can make a relatively nice sound every x minutes.
so i was thinking to let this app run the whole night and let it make a gentle sound every lets say 15 minutes, which should eventually remind me that i am dreaming. today and yesterday i let the app run the whole day with an interval of 10 minutes, and every 10 minutes i did a reality check. so should i do it tonight? is this a good idea? i actually think it is ^^

I used to have a wristwatch that chimed every hour and did a RC based on that. Having a portable timer like that is always a plus. Tell me how it works for you.

Sounds like a good idea, I'm going to try it starting from tomorrow do you also have it ring every 10 minutes during the day? because that might be problematic for me

too bad i cant make it start at about 3 hours because it might keep me awake (i dont put the sound very hard so its ok)

That sounds promising...I have a watch with an automatically resetting timer, I can try using that. Of course, that's assuming that I hear it when I'm sleeping but that it's not loud enough to awaken me.

Yeaaa... you should keep your iPod in the charger, that'll be easiest.

Yeah, I tried that technique with my watch, it hasn't been working either... but I've only been doing it for a day or two. It'll come eventually. Even if the alarm itself doesn't induce lucidity, you may have a DILD; you may just do a reality check for "no apparent reason."

What I'm saying is, you may not have to. If you do RC's frequently enough, you may do one in your dream even without the alarm.

I decided to combine a new method with the sound-induced RC. I attempted HILD yesterday afternoon. For those who haven't read the tutorial, it's Hypnosis Induced Lucid Dream. You make your subconscious want to give you lucid dreams. However, since I had no recall last night, I'll have to wait a while to see if it worked.

Actually, it's not. The tutorial is in the Tutorial-Archives section. It's called "HILD: Hypnosis Induced Lucid Dream." One of the ways you'll recognize it is that it's not written by the Dream Guide Team.

When you hear this sound though make sure you actually pay attention to it. Getting used to the sound could turn your whole plan around. Make sure to pay attention to the actual sound and what's going on around you. I used to set my phone to go off a few times during the day for a reality check. Worked for me a few times.

      Hi!
I've found this forum after searching for some app for the iPhone and I saw this post

So, I'm using an app that its available on App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch called "Lucid Dreams", it has informations and tips about lucid dreams and in particular it looks on Reality Checks. It has an alarm for reality checks, you can set a desired time interval choosen from some that the app offers (like every 30, 60, 90 minutes, etc), and it will show a popup and ring a sound at the choosen time (day and night of course)
I hope I was clear with the explanation xD
The link of the app on iTunes is this: [CENSORED] <--- I see that I can't post links until its passed at least one week since membership
Maybe reading there you can understand better the functionality of the app, or you can read searching on App Store / iTunes for the name of the app

I hope I've been of help pointing you here, it seems that this is what were you looking for!
I'm using the alarm also for try some other techniques besides the RC, for example using self-hypnosis sentences during the day every time I hear the ring, or for remember me to think that I'm dreaming during the day (as stated by the oriental yoga of dreams' and tantrism techniques).
Now I haven't much time, maybe later I will open a post under the general section to explain me better if someones is interested to it

      Greetings
