It sounds to me as if you're talking about the WILD technique. |

Can you help me find this thread explaining this technique to become lucid? I can't find it! |

You are correct. It was a WILD technique. |
I remember. It contains sitting on your bed/standing by it then performing a RC, waiting some time and doing it again, right? I remember reading it somewhere, it was a post not a complete technique/thread I think, don't remember the name tough. |
Yes I think that was it. Yeah I suppose it wasn't a complete technique, but it sure worked great. Now that you mentioned more of it, I also remember them saying most lucids begin as false awakenings and sitting or standing up assures that you don't miss out on the lucid or something. They said it happens quick and unnoticeably. |
Oh, one more thing they mentioned that was different. They said lay there until you hear a sound or something. And sit/stand up as soon as you hear that sound, like an indicator that you are actually asleep but don't know it. I think that was the key thing that made it work so well. |
That sound you mentioned is actually sleep paralysis, a signal that your body is going asleep. Sorry that I can not help you, I don't remember the thread. |
Let me know if you find it. Try using Google, and not just the DreamViews search bar. |
Hi, no that's not it either. I was all excited LOL. |
sounds interesting, i will try this some time and post how it goes |

You know I still haven't found that thread, but last night after imagining doing that technique (sinking in and then sitting up), I actually projected, so I have to say thanks. |

I was actually in the middle of a lucid dream. It was a combination of remembering what you said and some excerpts from "Mastering Astral Projection." The book is basically about transferring a WILD into a projection. I had gone through sleep paralysis already, and I felt that I resisted too much (I didn't move, but the breathing thing didn't go well). But I was in a lucid dream. I put my hands together like I was bowing or praying, and I just imagined myself sliding out and at one point I just kept saying to myself I need to sit up and felt myself leave. It was like my past minor experiences with APing, but it was much more controlled. I didn't travel far or long, but I did look at myself, and leave my room. |
