Isochronic Tones and experiences thus far plus something weird

First a little history to let you know what my experience with Lucid dreaming have been.

When I was a kid, I used to Lucid dream a LOT. It happened so often I used to tell other kids about it but they did not understand and probably thought I was crazy lol. Another thing that happened to me a lot when I was a kid was that I would talk in my sleep a lot and I would also sleep walk somewhat often.

When I grew older (I am 27 now), I stopped having Lucid dreams and I also stopped sleep walking. I still talk in my sleep almost on a daily basis.

A couple years ago I felt like I wasn't sleeping enough, so I made a conscious effort to try to go to bed at 9pm to get a full night of sleep. Apparently doing this had caused me to start sleep walking again as I had one night waken up my roommate who freaked out due to my sleep walking. Still I had no luck with Lucid dreaming but I thought that I had found a connection between sleep walking and amount of time spent sleeping.

Flash forward to now, I decided to purchase Binaural beats because I've been having trouble sleeping. The binaural beats worked but not that well. So i continued to research and found out something called isochronic tones. I started using Isochronic tones and had immediate results. I used a premade tone for deep sleep and I found myself sleeping very very well. I tried using a Lucid dreaming isochronic tone but I found myself getting a lot of energy and having a hard time falling asleep when using this.

So I stuck with using the Deep sleep isochronic tone. My dreams became VERY vivid and I could easily recall what my dreams were but for some reason, when I am in my dream I have a hard time becoming lucid and realizing its a dream. The other night I had a dream that I consciously believed to have had lasted for somewhere between an hour and 2 hours long. (from my understanding, dream time is similar to real time according to research but i could be wrong).

Another thing I found out, my girlfriend told me that last week I had slept walk and tried to walk outside the room but the door was closed so i just walked into it. She apparently had woken me up because she was so freaked out and I ended up going back to bed and went to sleep. The isochronic tones might be causing me to sleep walk significantly more but im still having trouble getting lucid. Though I do enjoy that my dreams are now very vivid every night and I can recall them down to every single detail. What do you guys think

First of all, welcome to the forums! That's very interesting. I don't know about the sleep walking, but the lucid dreaming one might possibly need to be used once you're already asleep, or have slept for some time and hearing it while falling asleep again. The not being able to become lucid while using these iso tones could be because it puts you into a very deep sleep, which I believe isn't always REM at the beginning, but later on the night you have a rebound of very long REM periods to make up for it. I suggest keeping a dream journal and doing reality checks during waking life and just thinking about lucid dreaming in general. They'll come again =D
