A few questions from a newbie.

Hi all, I "discovered" the subject of lucid dreaming a few months ago and was quite amazed but forgot about it the next day.

About a week ago I remembered it again and began researching a lot and tried it myself. I have been mostly trying to WILD after waking up around 6 hours after I fall asleep and have made some progress.

      I have a few questions.

First, while relaxing and falling asleep again after waking up, I felt myself slowly, well I'm not really sure how to explain it but I felt like I was slowly revolving around my head and my body was moving into sleep paralysis I'm sure but suddenly I heard, what sounded very loudly like 3 *knocks* right next to my ear.

I'm sure it wasn't from somewhere in the house as the knocking sounds felt "artificial" and right next to my ear. I immediately moved and ruined the process and just went to bed.

Is there an explanation for these noises? Or was it just a fabrication of my imagination?

My second question was about a recent dream I had.

I was in a dream as normal after falling asleep after waking up at 4am and in this dream I was driving a sleek, black Mercedes Benz which coincidentally was the same car which was in a TV show I was watching the previous night.

Suddenly I crashed and while "watching" the crash happen I seemed to realize that this isn't possible and I told myself I was dreaming.

The second after that the dream or my eyes suddenly went bright white and then the next thing I remember was waking up.

I am quite confused about this recent dream, and if anyone can clarify it would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks!

Welcome to the forums! I haven't had much experience with SP, but those are part of the process, I believe they are called auditory hallucinations, or Hypnagogia, which is sort of the dream waking border state. The dream, it could be that you got really excited when you were lucid and woke up from it? I'm not sure on the white light, could have been a bit of sun going in your eyes? I'm sure someone more experienced can explain.

Welcome to DV Mokar, the hallucinations you hear while in SP are such a normal thing, just try to relax and calm down and go with them, it will come with practice anyway . I recommend for you as a beginner to use the MILD technique after WBTB while Using a Dream journal .
