    Thread: A Unique Method for Lucid Dream Induction

      I think whatever floats your boat and get you into an LD is fine. If one thinks eating cheese crackers does it... then it does, for him anyway. However, it is a scientific fact that visualization and dreaming occur in the secondary visual cortices of the occipital lobe. Consequently, it is quite true that if you can imagine it... you can dream it. I wish you all very good and lucid dreams!

      Indeed. Ive recently been reading, 'Conscious Dreaming and Controlled Hallucinations' by Claude de Contrecoeur. His chosen method of lucid dreaming was a WILD produced by simple visualisations.

      This is simply because when we visualize we use the same area in our brains as when we are dreaming. Visualize something .... anything, all the while telling yourself you will awaken in a dream. There's a good chance you will... maybe. Planning on having a LD is akin to planning on seeing a shooting star. You know if you look toward the horizon before daybreak you have a good chance to see one... maybe.
