Are you doing reality checks throughout the day? They can help you become lucid more often than not. Also, you might want to try keeping a Waking Journal. It has helped some people in the past. |

I have been keeping a dream journal for two weeks, and have excellent dream recall. I can remember multiple dreams every day. However I still can not attain lucidity! I did once and I knew I was in a dream but I didnt do anything and it quickly passed... I've done all the steps but I just cant seem to get it right.... please help!!!! |

Try WILD. |

yea i do reality checks but that doesnt work either. |

You could be trying too hard. I know it sounds wierd, but for a lot of people trying too hard is detrimental to your chances of having a LD. I would suggest that, if you feel you have done all you can to get a LD, take a break for a week or so. It helps a lot of people and has a high chance of working. If after a week long break, try again, but don't go at it full force. Reality checks, DJ, and dedication are all it takes, but don't over do it. |

I kind of agree with Dono. I've been keeping a dream journal, yet the closest I came to a lucid dream was briefly during an accidental WBTB when I dreamed I was doing a reality check and noticed I had 6 fingers. But then I got zipped out of the dream and had to fall back asleep in disappointment. |

I would agree with some of the responders on this post that most people try a little too hard to LD the first time. It is important to know the stages of sleep and that visualization and dreams occur in the same section of our big human brains.. the secondary visual cortex. Simple visual meditation and deep relaxation techniques might bring on an LD. Good luck to you! |
Wake Back To Bed (WBTB) is the single best thing you can do to improve your chances of becoming lucid. Try to time it so you return to sleep when you know you will be entering a dream cycle. |
For me that helped me while I was lucid was me say Don't think just do & it seemed to stablize my lucid dream i was amazed by this I will try to say it in a lucid dream tonight if not anyother time i have a lucid dream if it works it can be my personal lucid dream stablizer |

im about ready to give up as nothing has worked |
Don't give up! It took me three weeks to get my first one. Just stay determined. Try out all of the techniques and see which one works best for you. Maybe DILD isn't your thing. Try WILD or MILD. There are a lot of great tutorials on here. Good luck. |
ill try wild i dont know what mild is though |
MILD is nothing more than affirming that you will have a lucid dream. As often as you can during the day say, or even better, write down, 'Tonight when I dream I will realise that I am dreaming'. Also say it repeatedly in a relaxed manner whilst you fall asleep. It can take time though so you may have to be patient. |
Please click on the links below, more techniques under investigation to come soon...
Wild almost worked for me but once I got into sleep paralysis and experienced the images and noises I got excited and snapped out of it. |
MILD worked well for me as well. Just keep repeating a sentance like ' I will realise that I'm dreaming' before you fall asleep. Your goal is that your last thought before falling asleep is about lucid dreaming. Some say that repeating this sentance ( called a mantra ) during daytime increases your chances as well. But the most important thing is motivation. The mantra will not work if you don't really mean it. While repeating the mantra, make sure you believe the words yourself. Don't say them because you have to. Don't be discouraged when you fail either. Every night a new chance. When you wake up, tell yourself you'll make it next time. Again, you must really mean it. |
I agree with all..I personally use a combination on WBTB, MILD, DILD and parts of a WILD...It took about 3ish weeks to have a lucid dream and even then it wasn't vivid and lasted for like 5 seconds... I would advise just sticking with it |
listen to this one, i dreamed about trying to get a lucid dream inside of my dream and I failed to realize I was dreaming!!! |
That's pretty weird O.o |
its just so hard im about ready to call it quits |
