      Talking Reading about lucid dreaming?

I discovered lucid dreaming a long time ago, and after reading about lucid dreaming and researching it all day for the first time, I had had a lucid dream. There might have been a few random lucids after that, but the first real, full lucid dream I had was that one night, after reading of lucid dreaming all day.

Eventually, I gave up lucid dreaming and took a break from it for a while. Just recently I rediscovered it, and the same thing happened. After the first day of constantly researching lucid dreaming and reading about it, I had another full lucid dream.

Even after that, when I was constantly trying new methods and reading about it days after, I haven't had another lucid dream since.

Does anyone else have this problem, or have had this happen to them? I'd really like to know if there's a way to really lucid dream without taking a long break from it and then just randomly reading up on it one day. Thanks!

it is just the effect of it being on your mind, it is the same thing as saying "i will have a lucid dream" all day long and as you go to sleep.
It is just another type or RC in the back of your head....

Yeah, like Moon said, sometimes simply keeping your mind on dreaming can spark these spontaneous lucid dreams. Make sure you aren't trying too hard to have lucid dreams. Just go about your techniques with a relaxed and positive approach. Try not to get discouraged by failures and try to fall asleep each night expecting to succeed. You may want to take a look at my DILD technique (in my signature). I think it may help you out a bit. Especially if you are struggling to become lucid with conventional methods.
