stay up for about 30 minutes, then go back and try repeating 'the next place i'll be is in a dream' or choose something you want to dream about that will trigger lucidity, "i will dream about [your dreamsign here]" until you fall asleep. Almost a sure way for me to become lucid

When you wake up do not get out of bed. Try visualizing something relaxing while telling yourself you will awaken in a dream. Staying up and/or getting out of bed requires brainwaves that are the antithesis of sleep.

I think it's the opposite. I have had much more success with wbtb when I get out of bed. I've never had a wbtb where I didn't. Every time I don't get up, i will fall back asleep without having a lucid dream of any kind. Also, getting out of bed and moving around drastically increases the amount of dreams I have in the last hour of sleep. I usually have about 3 or 4 just in that time period after falling back asleep and most likely one of those will be lucid (the first one most of the time).

have you tried not getting out of bed?

It depends... If you wake up your mind a bit but stay kind of sleepy it can create success. The point of this is to wake up the mind, then if you can still fall asleep relatively easy you will be sleeping with more brain function, and isn't that the whole idea of lucid dreaming?

Last night I had a lucid dream by setting an alarm to 3 hours after I fell asleep, I then got up and watched THIS subliminal video.

How are you failing? Are you unable to fall back to sleep? Do you fall asleep too quickly? Do you have any normal dreams after you return to sleep?

Well, i have difficulty going to sleep . like i attempted to do a WBTB 2 nights ago, however when i was going to sleep at 2 am, i couldnt fall asleep at all i was just lying in the bed for like an hour. then i had to wake up and wait until 5 am to fall asleep. i'm trying to get my sleep routine back in order again though so that wont be a problem,. and i have trouble falling back to sleep in the middle of the WBTB. and sometimes i dont remember any dreams if i fell asleep at 5 and woke up at say 8 or 9.. but i used to be able to remember atleast 7 dreams a night once. i want to get that back..
