Talking First lucid in months last night, couldn't have been simpler.

So after months of busy life and not really thinking about lucids, I had an amazing one last night. I took a melatonin to help me sleep. Around 5am, I woke up, relieved myself, and returned to sleep. Within 10 minutes, I was in a dream. I was walking through a corridor and I immediately thought, "This is a dream."

I did no reality check. I was very calm yet very excited as it all happened. It was weird because I don't do reality checks during the day anymore and it never came into my mind while lucid. Once I realized it was a dream, I walked into an elevator. There were a lot of people. I tried not to waste time so I closed my eyes and tried to change the dream, so when the elevator door opened I'd be in a whole new setting. No dice. So I continued to walk around and touch things, just taking it all in. It is crazy, definitely my most vivid so far. It truly is amazing, especially once you have a legit long one. So I'm gonna try the same thing tonight by taking a melatonin and waking up briefly around 5. Any good ideas to do something in my dream if I get lucid again? Flying and sex are at the top of my list haha.

by the way, i'd have to say that the best way to lucid, in my experience, is to WBTB WILD. Cuz basically if you find the right cycle while in REM to wake up, then just kinda sit up in bed, then go back to sleep, but stay consciously awake. It's harder than it sounds, but is much easier when you're tired and can fall asleep in moments. That's basically how I got into my last lucid. I got another last night doing the same thing. I'm gonna do it again tonight. Wish me luck! Good luck to y'all too!

Congratulations, I too have been busy and somewhat lazy and have neglected my lucid dreaming. A recent unintentional lucid dream has gotten me back into it.

Hey guys a cool thing to do. (Probably one of the coolest) is to astral project through lucid dreaming. When your in the dream, sit down in the lotus position and meditate, within seconds you should be in the astral realm.

How will I be able to tell the difference between the astral world and the dream world ( and how do they differ?)

Man, I've been trying so hard lately and all that's happened is my recall dropping. You're lucky congrats, though.

You do know its dangerous for amatuers to Astral Project?, if they do so and it works they have a 50 / 50 chance of actually loosing contact with there body, or being possesed.

      Its a shame really....
Ignorant fools like you going around and spreading misinformation about things and thus keeping people from experiencing them.
There is NO harm in astral projecting.

      That is,
      unless you think there is......

(take this in anyway you please)

Not possible to become possessed or loose contact with your body. That's science talking.
On a slightly different note: I've not very spiritual and have always been kind of skeptical of OBEs and Astral Projecting, as far as I can tell they are just lucid dreams in which you dream you are out of body or are astral projecting. Wouldnt whatever you expect to happen from astral projecting happen in a lucid dream?

An idea i have for you would be that next time u lucid dream and u want to go somewhere make a firm command where u want to go (example: "i want to go to the moon" )and u will be there. The astral (Dream) world deals in specific commands if there is no specific command either nothing will happen or your subconscious will take control and bring u some where random. You have dream guides or spirit guides available to u also. call on them for help, they can give u a lay of the land. peace.

Congratulations! Sometimes I enjoy just simply walking around, touching things, examining things and taking it all in in lucids as well. Sometimes that can be the most enjoyable. Good luck on your next one!
