      Few Questions

      Hi there, everyone.*
I'm kinda new to LDing, but I have a DJ written down quite a few dreams, and I've noticed most of mine have something to do with school and/or people I know. So with that I came up with a mantra. For MILDs. "The next time I see someone I know, I will know that I am dreaming". At one point another thought surfaced "Well, what if I dream and there are people I don't know" And that's exactly what happened. What should I do? Does this mean any mantra I make will be countered by another similar thought?*

      Part 2
I've tried my hand at WILDs, and it's very tricky. Most people or guides say that there should be some signal to move or to scratch, I'm pretty sure mine is to swallow.*
The past two times I've tried, I've felt vibrations, then I swallowed and the vibrations left. Is there anything I can do about this? Or should I just not focus on swallowing?*
Usually, when I'm going to bed I'll notice that sometimes its like my consciousness slips away, like I'm falling asleep or I space out, then suddenly I'll catch myself. Sometimes I don't and I just fall asleep, I know I could use a anchor, like counting but swallowing usually cancels out the vibrations and they never come back. * **

      Part 3*
I've made binaural beats, with the brainwave generator. Idk if I did it right though. It was supposed to be 8 hours long, but only came out to 1. I have no idea what happened, but I put it into Vegas and copied one section and pasted it so then it came out the 8 hours, I'm not sure *I did it right though. I converted it to an mp3 and put it on my iPod and remembered 2 or just 1 really long dream. And this was on the first night I started using it.*

Instead of doing a mantra related to your friends, just do a reality check when you see them at school. And then use a more vague mantra such as "The next time I'm dreaming, I will realize I'm dreaming" this is one Stephen LaBerge uses and I've had success with it in the past. The mantras main purpose is to keep lucid dreaming in the forefront of your mind while you drift to sleep. Rather than using something specific just use a mantra that pertains to dreaming.

I think ignoring the signs to scratch or move around are bogus. You need to be comfortable to fall asleep, so if you find yourself needing to do something to be more comfortable while trying to WILD than do it. Swallowing is something everybody has trouble with at first. The best advice is to not think about it. Swallow when you need to and don't let it take control of any conscious thought, just let it happen. An anchor is necessary; without one you will most likely fall asleep normally.

Try using Gnaural for Binaural beats. I like it a lot better than BWGen.

I've been experimenting with brainwave entrainment lately, and I've posted some tracks on this site. The link is in my sig.

Good luck on your quest for lucidity! And to Dreamviews!

Thank you for responding, the idea for reality checks when I see my friends seems excellent, I'll have to start on that right away. I actually downloaded your beats that you posted in your DJ. I'll have to check out Gnaural, I hope it easier than Brainwave Generator, BG is kinda annoying. What are your experiences with binaural beats?

I found Gnaural easier than BWGen. If you watch the tutorial you'll see how easy it is. Basically point and click.
My experiences with Binaurals? I dunno. I use them for meditation. I feel they allow my mind to think a little more abstractly, and my thoughts to flow more freely. It's easier to get into a nice meditative trance when I listen to them.

I can't post the link here, says I have to be registered for a week, but search on google "Dreamviews Brainwave Entrainment for lucid dreams" dreamviews should come up. I followed the guide that I had found, through google and it seemed to work well. It suggested that I listen to it throughout the night, which I did. I remembered 2 dreams or just 1 really long dream.

So I got Gnaural, and it looks like its going to take me a little getting used to, in order to duplicate the steps in the link. I tested it out earlier this evening and managed to give myself a small headache, beat freq. was at 40hz, my head started to hurt, so its going to take some practice. Is it possible to duplicate some of the following steps, I know there's a copy&paste function, it just seems a little complicated to use. For some reason it seems easier if there's no "fuzz" noise in the background.

[These steps were made for Brainwave Generator]
      "1. Start up the BWGen.
      2. Click Presets | New Preset
This will bring up all the options and customizable features for your pattern.
      3. Name your pattern
      4. In the length input box you should make it about how long you sleep. I sleep about 10 hours so I put in 600.
      5. Now click on the sound tab.
      6. In the binaural beat frequency portion, take the second white box and move it to 3Hz and the time should be about how long it takes you to fall asleep. It takes me 15 minutes to fall asleep so I got it as close to 15 as it will go.
      7. Move your end box to 3Hz since this is where you want it to end also.
      8. Now we need to make some checkpoints along the way to raise your consciousness. Right click somewhere in the binaural beat frequency box and click Insert New Node.
      9. Move the node to 90 minutes after your second node.
      10. Create a new node as you did in step 8.
      11. Move this node about 5 minutes after the node you made in step 9, and move it up to 10Hz.
      12. Create another node and move it 5 minutes after your previous node and put it at 3Hz.
      13. Repeat this process until you fill up your entire pattern is filled up."

You made a binaural beat with 40hz? Binaural beats only work up to 30hz max. Gerald Oster's research shows that 26.6 is the max frequency for most people, but that some are able to perceive the beats up to 30hz. You can use isochronics for gamma, but I don't think they work past 40hz.
Did you watch the tutorial video? It should tell you everything you need to know.
You're finding the program easier to use without the pink noise? There's a check box next to each voice that will let you hide the voice at the bottom. If you hide it you won't accidentally select it; if that's the problem you're having.

I'll watch it again, it really didn't make too much sense the first time. The 40hz beat sounded like a really low thumping, it was weird. I'm trying to repeat the steps for the BWG tutorial, but it seems some thing will take time. Five minutes gaps to go to 3hz to 10hz then back to 3hz and up to 10hz again, just a huge pattern. What about beat frequency is it? Idk but that needs to go from 16hz to 3hz then, a 90min gap then to the 10 to 3 pattern mentioned above.
