Floated out of my body on GalantaMind trying to WILD

Do you guys ever lift out of your body when WILDing? I know, you can sit up or roll out of your body after the vibrations stop and you are in LD.

I just had some visuals and nothing else, just willed my body to levitate up and then floated from bed in same sleeping position, through kitchen and through wall and ended up in LD. Or at least I think, it was an LD in dream plane. Up to the point of entering the wall, I’m pretty sure, I was not dreaming. When I exited the wall, I’m pretty sure I was in LD.

I’m just trying to find out, if this was a regular WILD way to enter a lucid, or did I have an OBE and then entered a lucid.

I understand, that some believe that OBE is just an LD. They start the same way, but I think, that in OBE you end up in astral plane, that’s outside of my mind, and in LD, you end up in dream plane, that’s most of the time inside our mind. Of course, I may be wrong.

I’m just interested to know, if anybody just floats out his body this easily, and what were you trying to do, when it happened (WILD, OBE?).

When I was floating, I didn't try to move and I'm wondering now, was that a good time to stand up?

I dont believe in OBE. Call me narrowminded, but i dont, since the characteristics is just like those in a LD. Homever, im open to suggestion. But yeah, what your describing is very much a WILD. Some roll etc, you just floated into one. If it works for you, then thats the technique to use!

Thanks for the reply. I'm not gonna call you narrow-minded, because I respect your opinion and I appreciate it. I'm certainly not gonna try to convince anybody that OBEs are real, since I'm not sure about anything myself. I'm just looking for information.

It's just that 3 month ago I had no idea Lucid Dreams exist. And today I had my #10. They are so incredibly different than regular dreams. But I bet that if I told about it to people outside of DV, most of them would either be skeptical, or calling me crazy. So, because of lack of my knowledge and experience in this matter, I can't dismiss the idea of OBEs so categorically.

What most people do not know is that LD and OBE are actually the same thing. Yes, I also have this when WILDing quite often. You feel like you float out of your body, but that is not actually the case. What really happens is that you 'push' yourself right back in a dream. I do it intentionally, it is a form of DEILD. I use a technique described in an ebook which you can get can get HERE. This is a link to another site. You can download the ebook for free on the top of the site. It should answer the questions you have about OBE's. It also has some content on dream control and such, which is really useful.

One time, I could feel my phantom body actually trying to detach from my real body, except that only the top part (my head) was pinned down somehow. The result was my phantom body upside down, swaying from side to side, trying to detach, but it never did.

Anyone ever try actually testing if OBEs are real? I honestly don't think they are, but you could still test somehow. Take 5 random cards from a deck and put them on the ground, next to your bed. While having an OBE, read the order and remember it. When you wake up, see if the order is the same.

It would be more accurate to say that many people believe LD and OBE to be the same thing. as the jury is out on this and will remain out.
I have experience both LD and OBE many times, and the two are completely different for me. My OBE has no break in consciousness, going straight from waking to OBE via the vibrational state.
My LDs start with recognition of the dream as a dream.

Thank you all for your ideas. Well, I just had an LD and 2 OBEs last night and I can say, they do feel different. One OBE started within a dream, when inside of a dream I went to sleep with intent to have OBE and I rolled out. The other one started in my bedroom staring at my ceiling from 6 inches away.

I'm excited, that I have experienced something new. I'm not gonna worry about naming them, I'm sure I'll figure it out later.

I'm not trying to promote it, but if anybody is interested in this, I found this website yesterday Treatise on Astral Projection.

That's true, but what you described as LD is only DILD. DILD feels very different from WILD (which I think equals OBE). But you are right, it hasn't been proven right or wrong yet.
