Getting to REM whilst your body is in SP using reverse blinking. Help!

Hello. I recently found out about Reverse Blinking because I can get myself asleep very hard sometimes. So I tried it and I had amazing results. I lied on my back and I started reverse blinking every few seconds and repeating mantras from time to time.

Then after some time of doing it, my eyes got tired and I closed them. By that point my body was almost in full SP mode. It twiched from times to times on its own and even made me want to scratch which I resisted due to me knowing that that's how the body checks if you are ready to sleep.

So when I closed my eyes, I began a "Wild" transition. I began hearing noises in the background, feeling an ominous feeling and my mind began feeling like it's getting thrown from one place to another, I lost all navigation and felt like my body is rotating moving left and right just like a vortex with no specific path.

Then after some time of doing that, I decided to try to finish the transition and so I tried to get up. Did a few reality checks and did the reality check with the digital clock. They all failed. I tried doing it a few more times and they all failed so I gave up and 1:30 hours after going to bed and trying it, I got to sleep.

Problem is - My mind didn't go in REM sleep for some reason whilst my body was completely in SP. Has anyone experienced this and have some ways to help me? All the help is appreciated!

Did you do this during a WBTB? I believe the best time to get into REM is after a few hours of sleep.

I tried WBTB last night but alas I couldn't get to REM. This time I had no Images no Wild experiences no nothing. Just me and my paralysed body. There were even no noises. I couldn't get to sleep for a long time (like always when I get woken during the morning). So is there any way to help get to REM sleep easier and faster? I always end up rolling to the side and giving up.

It took 1 hour and 30 minutes with multiple tries and failures Idionym. After that I gave up and went to sleep normally.

Attaining sleep paralyse seems so simple now. Attaining REM is the new problem.
