Gab's information is absolutely correct and probably the best outlet to use to overcome this dry spell of yours. However, I do have an alternative.

Adopt a polyphasic sleeping schedule for just a few days. Its kind of like a jump start. Here is the link to a thread I posted not long ago about this

Basically in a nut shell your going to cut your sleep short by a few hours (around 3-4) and then catch up on that sleep between 2-3 naps during the day. Of course this technique only works if you have the time. Not everyone can fit a 1 hour nap in their schedule haha. But what this will do is pretty much set you right into REM sleep during those naps since you deprived yourself of anywhere between 2-3 hours of REM when you woke up early. Thus giving you the increased possibility of an LD, and of course dreams in general to recall.
