      dream switches

Whenever im in a dream i can never fully control it the way i have heard other people talk about their lucid dream experiences. like " oh yeah i went flying through paris, or i robbed a bank with super man" and stuff like that. is there a way i can realize " oh! im in a dream i can do whatever the f*ck i want to now!" while in my dream? i appreciate any help on this topic. i have one dream hournal entry in here if that helps in any way.

Here is my two cent's worth: Attempting to do fantastic stunts in a LD will shorten the experience dramatically. I try to be as passive as possible in the dreamscape... taking in the incredible detail as it comes to me. I will admit, however, that the urge to fly is sometimes overwhelming.

Sorry, I don't understand. Are you asking how to have control or how to realize you dreaming?

Have you tried to control your environment before but could not? Or the thought of doing something cool just doesn't occurs to you?

Sounds like a case of passive lucidity. Are you in 3rd person or 1st person?

always 1st person, never had a dream in 3rd person actually, and iv never been able to control it except for a few moments one time, no matter how crazy my dreams are i never can say "wow there is no way this is real, so it must be a dream!"

Attaining lucidity is a matter of developing extreme awareness in your daily life. Dream control is a matter of practice and developing a method. Only a few dreamers claim to have had extreme control at first, and I assume some of them are not honest. Most of us have had to gain control over time and experimentation.
