My first issue is my dreams themselves. They don't seem to really happen to me. I remember having them, but I don't remember great details. When I'm actually in the dream it's like I'm missing a lot. It's hard to explain.
The second issue is I can't seem to purposefully fall asleep. Like...I can't guide myself into it. I get to distracted by other things! I've tried and tried to guide myself to sleep/sleep paralysis but the farthest I've ever gotten with it is I see some weird lights, my eyes start twitching, breathing starts getting hard, and my muscles tighten up. Now...I'm not to sure what I just described even is! But I can never get past that point for some reason. It happens EVERYTIME I try to WBTB/WILD...It's very discouraging.
So far the only time I've been able to have a lucid dream is when I'm actually dreaming, and I just kinda discover it out of nowhere. It's kinda like an accidental DILD. I'm assuming that DILD is something I'm going to have to put more effort into. But it seems to me like it might not work due to my dreams lack of vividness.
Any advise on this would be greatly appreciated.
