Talking Amazing SP experience + Failed Lucid dream ;D

This morning I experienced my first proper Sleep Paralysis experience :b. I once had SP while waking up from a dream. But this was the first time I actually induced it. Without even trying. I woke up at 6am, I tried to recall my dream but I couldn't so I gave up and turned over. And all of a sudden my entire body started vibrating, for a second I was thinking of breaking free because I didn't want to see anything scary. But then I changed my mind. So I kept my eyes closed and I started seeing shapes and patterns, they were all white. Right after that it felt like I was falling from the sky. That feeling was so AMAZING. Then everything stopped. I should have done a reality check cause I was probably already in a dream after SP, but I didn't I overcame my fear of sleep paralysis and it was such an amazing experience. It feels so unreal, I actually can't believe it! I'm so happy and excited. I finally got my motivation back of getting into Lucid dreaming. If I would have become lucid, would it be DEILD or WILD?

Congratulations! SP is indeed an awesome experience. As you woke up and went back to sleep it would have counted as a DEILD.

Congratulations! I was a lot like you back in the day *strokes long, white beard*. Well actually it wasn't all that long ago, but I was still a lot like you. I eventually conquered my fear of SP and in 20+ experiences I've only ever had one visual and one auditory, and they weren't so bad. Good luck with your dreaming! DEILD is amazing.

Congrats. There's proof SP isn't scary. We need to break the pre-conception coz it's simply untrue.

yea my first sleep paralysis experience was pretty crazy. All of a sudden youre laying on your bed and next thing you know, youre being blasted off warp speed down and endless dark void. or atleast thats what it felt like to me

Yeah haha. When you google sleep paralysis and you read all these scary stories, ofcourse it scares you. And when you think negatively, your sleep paralysis will most likely be negative. You just gotta stay positive and nothing scary will happen.

I got one question though. Do you need to lay on your back while attempting DEILD? I was laying on my side because I feel more comfy while laying on my side rather then on my back.

no, i got into sleep paralysis twice during DEILDs from sleeping on my side. Try not to think about people when your imagining a dream scene because the second time i came close to my first DEILD, i heard a girl laughing right beside me and it scared the living $h!t out of me.

Yeah that feeling of falling through SP is the best feeling in this world

Im actually more interested in sleep paralysis stuff than lucid dreaming, yes theyr all related anyway but Im not in how to realize im dreaming inside a normal dream so it become lucid. I want to experience the whole thing from the very begging, also my dreams are not very vivid and clear so I try to WILD to have more awareness during sp and dreaming. I don't know why Im saying my life story here lol but i guess its bcz people around me says im idiot and obsessed about silly stuff

Yeah hearing my brother talking clear as day (hallucination) was a pretty weird experience. Then he started grunting angrily because I didn't say anything back to him, lol.

SP can be achieved no matter how you're sleeping. I like being on my stomach though - that way I can't see much even if I do accidentally open my eyes.

I've also been in SP a few times where I'd start freaking out randomly, thinking something scary will happen, but it doesn't. I guess it depends a lot on the person, wether or not you're prone to bad experiences. But just relax - you're the master of your dreams! All things you see, be they in SP or dreams, are created by you. They shall all bow down to you! You're the king. They must worship you or DIE! That's what I think to myself when I get a little scared, while laughing like a maniac in my head. I also feel very much like Light Yagami while doing so. Yeah, just pretend you're him, convincing yourself that you're the god of dreaming or something crazy like that. Be sure to imagine dramatic Death Note music in the background too. Works for me.
