      Need Advise on Lucid Dreaming

Hello, i have been trying to have a lucid dream for a month or two now, and here is what i am doing. I have tried to visualize the dream i want to be in before i go to sleep and repeat to myself that i will have a lucid dream. On sme occasions, i have said in my dream that i must be dreaming because of a strange event, but nothing changed and i didnt gain control of myself or anything. I havent been keeping a dream journal, but on avergae i remeber most of two to three dreams a night if i try.(Always had a good memory). One thing that i think might be a problem is that during the day i feel excited about LDing and awake, but at night i not only feel physically tired but mentally fuzzy to. I REALLY want to LD, but cant by myself. Could you guys give me some tips that help you the most when try to lucid dream, thanks.

You are on the right track, but you should add more techniques in your day to induce a lucid dream easier. Try incorperating reality checks and all day awareness into your day. You can also try DEILD for FILD at night, or try WILD but it is rather hard for begginers.

      What jblb said ^^

Also, incorporate a reality check in your visualizations. When you imagine the scenes, put in a part where you reality check and get lucid.

      Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I used to tell myself that keeping a dream journal doesn't do much difference, but when I started it again my lucidity rate got kick started! So I would definitely recommend that.
It's important to appreciate your normal dreams as well, they are after all what will give you your lucid dreams. And believe it or not they can be very fun too =)

      Good luck!

The big human brain incorporates events that it witnessed during the day into dreams. Sometimes these events are assimilated literally and sometimes symbolically. Try altering your visualizations to included something you experienced that day in the real world. This could be a TV show you watched or a book you read or something you saw out and about in the real world. Another trick I have learned is to attempt to visualize a relatively fresh dream... this is one of the reasons I keep a dream journal. Good luck to you!
