      Strange occurance, help?

Well, two nights ago I had my very first Lucid dream since I started to try lucid dreaming. It was awesome, no Dream Control though...

Back to the point. I was basically sitting on the couch, thinking about Lucid dreaming without anything else for a good 30 minutes. Then hours later, I went to bed, and had a Lucid dream and extremely strange DEILD after that. But back to the point...

Why had that worked but nothing else? I know that Dreams are used for processing information you learned during the day. Sometimes when I think about girls with deep emotion, or just make funny jokes with people, they stick in my dreams. A girl I think about a lot appears in my dream. I make a Mr. Anderson joke, and a Matrix Agent is in my dream. I think that thinking about Lucid dreaming a lot can help get it into your dream, and the weird part, is that I don't even remember becoming Lucid. I was just Lucid from the start of the dream.

The problem is, I tried the same thing yesterday, no luck. Help?

It is a bit of hit or miss, but you are on the right track. I don't know of anyone who has LDs every night. Some times even the best LDers go many days without one.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

Hmm, alright, I think I'll be just trying that and DEILDing. I woke up with my eyes closed 2 times last night, that's very good

Hmm seems like dream incubation would be a good method for you to try. I mean you can imagine girls telling you that you are dreaming or imagine yourself doing a reality check over and over, and if your lucky you mgiht dream about it and get lucid =) And congrats to your first lucid

I'm not sure, but sometime there could be a delay between your thoughts and practice and when it manifest itself in your dreams.

For me, I'm very rarely able to enter LD the same way, even if I believe, I recreated conditions and preparations exactly the same way. I can have DILDs every other day from morning WBTB for a month, and then bam, nothing. I start doing WILDs and I can have a bunch untill it stops working and have to try another approach.

But keep trying, just don't be disappointed, because that's the nature of the game. Happy dreams

Oh yeah, congrats on your lucid. Keep that excitement and intent going.
