      What's gone wrong?!

      Hey guys,

I used to be able to have fairly frequentish lucid dreams - maybe once every couple of weeks? Since I've got back into lucid dreaming after a few months of not doing it, I've made sure I've been keeping a regular dream journal, and reality checking at least 5-10 times a day. I've got a regular recall, but it's still only 1 or 2 dreams a night. And I just can't get lucid! Really obviously dream situations happen, yet I still can't pick up on it!
      HELP!

I would really hook onto a dream sign. Something that you remind yourself of many times during the day that could only happen in a dream. A few of mine is moving walls and large explosions. It is so ingrained into my subconscious that these events mean I am dreaming that they bring on lucidity instantly.

Hmm are you practicing a certain technique? Perhaps you should change it up a bit, or try a different approach.

Also, regarding obvious dream scenes yet not becoming lucid:

Oreoboy1996 and OpheliaBlue taught me that when you wake up, keep telling yourself "I should have been lucid when I saw that dinosaur" (or something along those lines). It's not so you can blame yourself, but instead you can use that to help incorporate and drill the thought into your mind, and your brain is sort of forced to remember that when it happens, you should get lucid.

      Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

There is always a simple an answer and in this case it's going to hurt. You are doing something wrong. If I don't have a lucid dream at least once a week when I am actively trying, I know that something must be wrong. So I would suggest that you start solving that problem right now by evaluating and analyzing each attempt you make.

Is the bedtime ideal? Did I eat something out of the ordinary? Was I stressed? or something else.

Is there something I can do to increase my chances like? Drinking water, meditate to get rid of stress (relaxing meditation).

I have tried to think in these ways since I started, and if I didn't I would not stumble upon or even share this method that have helped 45+ people to remember their dreams:

      http://www.dreamviews.com/f15/if-you...ams-try-93005/

So this a really powerful tool.

So don't look back, look forward! Begin to evaluate today. (LOL I sound like a commercial or something...) But I am trying to convince you to start, because I know it will help you.

I am about to prove the impossible (to myself then to others) just because of this mindset (astral projection), it's that powerful!

Good luck, but you don't need luck you need experience now go and get it!

If you have ANY more questions I am happy to help you and I am sure that the rest of Dreamviews is as well

I can just add that the most common misstake I make when I don't lucid dream is to fall asleep stressed or get to bed too late.

And also when it comes to lucid dreaming aids, don't become dependent on them, but that's a worry that comes later.
So focus on erasing the factors that prevents you from getting lucid. But of course if you want to get out and party you should, but don't get discouraged if you can't get a lucid dream that night.

      Sweet dreams!

You could try waking up in the middle on the night, to give yourself an extra chance to remember dreams. If you are getting enough sleep, you must be having more than one or two dreams per night. Try a WBTB at least once per week.
