Is it possible to go from awake to lucid dream without having to wake in the night?

Hey guys, is it possible to get in to bed at night, lay there consciously, let your body go to sleep, and eventually the dream will build around you, therefore you have went from laying in bed straight in to a dream?

I'm wondering if this is possible without having to wake up at night and attempt it that way?

Like WILD but cutting out the middle man (middle man being waking up 5/6 hours into sleep)?

      Cheers!

[EDIT: 'including reply into my OP']:

Also, is there any advice on this technique?
