Hello and congratulations on becoming lucid!! No worries here, you just happen to have lost lucidity. Since you are a beginner, your mind isn't quite used to lucidity yet. You probably put all of your focus on calming down that you forgot to remember that you were dreaming. In the dream world, certain areas of the brain are "shut off" or much less active than they are when in waking life. Unfortunately, one of these areas is logic. This is why we are able to accept such bizarre scenarios that happen in dreams as being normal. Its also why it is more difficult to do something as simple as remembering that you are in a dream after becoming lucid. No worries though, this will improve with the more experience you get. Just keep doing what you are doing and try to learn from any mistakes you make. Next time you are in a lucid dream, make sure you save a small portion of your focus to remember that you are dreaming. Just simple remind yourself every now and then during the dream. I like to perform a quick reality check every now and then during a dream, just to reinforce the idea that I am dreaming. Again, congrats on obtaining lucidity and just keep at it. Try to learn from each experience you have so you build up your lucid dreaming skill. |
