Vision problems in my last lucid dream

So I became lucid last night, which is awesome, but I found I had big problems with my vision in that dream.
I guess the dream started with me performing some kind of DEILD, where I counted to 3 and then decided that in the next scene I will open my front door at home - and I did get a dream like that!
The dream continued with me walking over to a big street of some kind (it looked like New York City), and I could feel myself walking, and vaguely hear people talking around me - but suddenly I couldn't really see anything, everything turned into some unclear grey blur with extremely unclear contours.
I tried to tell myself that I am going to get my vision back when I close my eyes and open them again - but I tried that several times and it was always this grey featureless mess.
And shortly after that I woke up.

Maybe I didn't really trust my ability to control my vision like that?
I seem to get different kinds of vision problems quite often in my lucid dreams.

I can babble an hour on what is the essence of this problem, but I would be saying the same thing I always say, so hear is a trick:

Tell yourself that your hoody got in front of your eyes, or the sunglasses fell in front of your eyes, and move them. Voila! Vision!
      Anything like that
I fill my heart with fire, with passion, passion for what makes me nostalgic. A unique perspective fuels my fire, makes me discover new passions, more nostalgia. I love it.

I get this sometimes also. I've tried shouting at the dream to have clarity, to have vision, to show me something... nothing.
But i found a way. As i've been meditating in real life, i've doing that also in the dream. When this grey blur happens, i just put myself in a meditation position, keep my eyes open, relax, calm myself down, breathe slowly and i just stay still and wait. Most of the times, the dream starts to reappear.
You can do this also, or just stay still and wait. This works for me.

My initial thought, while not so much a solution, is that maybe your dream was coming to an end anyway? They tend to "disintegrate" as you start to wake.

never saw this gray vision but i have had some really weird vision problems, like my vision would "split" into half with a dark line down the middle or i would see things in a sort of "lopsided" view. actually its so weird its hard to describe. i really dont have any solution to add since i could never remedy this problem myself either. perhaps just practice willing it away or use the sunglasses technique LouaiB mentioned.

Do you practice any kind of energy work? It is said that blurry vision after some minutes of LD is related to low flow of energy in chakras. when prana can't flow easily through your energy body, you have such dreams.

I like what everyone else has proposed, so I'm not really going to touch on that stuff. Rather, did it truly feel like you 'couldn't' see? Maybe you skipped a dream scene and were now in a mist/fog that you should have further explored? I dunno, if this ever happens again, make sure to attempt to explore it, hopefully fully diagnosing the problem.

I have this problem also, and i think it's special common with DEILD. I like dreamhighlander's suggestion to stay calm and wait, and meditate. Have you tried to spin ?
Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way
