I have been thinking about that as well for the past 2 weeks. Perception is what allows us to exprience most of Reality but since perception can be change it's like asking what is really real? What makes waking life any real than a lucid dream? Our parietal lobe usually is always enhance more in LD's which makes the dream look very real. But the same is done with waking life however we do not use it to the extent like in LD's. When people use certain supplements though in waking life it alters their perception and makes the world look just as beautiful as a Lucid dream would. That's why I wonder what makes here real than LD rather than knowing that the other is fake. If someone did reach Gamma brainwaves at 40HZ in waking life would they instanly awaken in the concept that waking life isn't real either? |

Makes sense to me, an LD feels very close to pure awareness, the closest I have gotten to that state while awake is right after meditation and not often. |

I consider dreams just as real as waking life, from my personal perspective. |

To be fair they would both be mental realities, which is why you can hallucinate while completely awake, we don't see light directly, it's interpreted through our brains etc... |
|
When I call dreams "mental realities", I mean that dreams are much less distracted by physical objects. |
