Tornado = Dreaming for crying out loud

Why can't I get this through my thick head? I've had consistent appearances of tornadoes in dreams for like 3-4 weeks without questioning a thing! -.- Every time it happens I like have my camera out and I'm all like, "YES! Finally I get to see my first tornado in person!" Literally every single time. wtf

You can try using a mantra before you go to sleep. Say something like: Inhale: when I see a tornado, exhale: I know I'm dreaming.

One of my first Lucids was me getting swept up by a tornado and flung through the air at high speed. It was amazing because I was not frightened because I knew it was a dream. Difficult to describe how real it was!

I have a dog who ran away... I sometimes see him in my dream and think "Oh, he finally came back!" One time I even thought of doing a RC, but it failed... so I know how it can be frustrating...

I miss patently obvious dream signs all the time. The cognitive part of your brain is non-functional during sleep, so you are going to have to rely on repeated affirmations regarding the relationship between tornados and the fact that you are dreaming to create a subliminal message strong enough to be recognized by your innocent, unaware sleeping brain.

Good luck! You CAN do it. In fact, I'd say you have an excellent chance since tornados are such dramatic, rare, awesome and powerful events.

Tornado's as a universal metaphorical symbol can symbolise distress and confusion due to having too much to cope with. It can also be to do with emotions.
What I personally would do is some visualising exercises 3 to 5 times a day where you either copy part of a dream where you see the tornado and to a RC or make up a story and when the tornado shows up think cool maybe get your camera out and do a RC. Also before bed run a simulation through.
