Though vibrations are a great sign, I find that it can be really difficult to utilize them because it's so hard to focus on anything but the intense physical sensations being experienced. The only times I have been able to achieve anything with the vibrations is when they occur during sleep. They wake me up sometimes 3-6 hours after falling asleep and are very loud in my ears like you describe. Part of the reason this works for me is because it only barely wakes me up to a point where I'm aware of my physical sleeping body (that's vibrating and ringing loudly) while still having dreams. I've found that I must assume an attitude of apathy toward it in order to be successful. If I try too hard, I lose it. Also, as soon as I notice them I visualize the dream I want to have or a place I want to be. It takes practice and you must figure out what works for you, but that's what works for me. Hope it helps
