      How does Mild (Visualization) work?

      Yesterday i've read a tutorial for Mild and also tried it that night the first time. Surprisingly i got a lucid dream at the same night.
      I visualized a place where i have been and said a mantra a few times while doing this. I didnt use dream signs. Also i'm currently not trying any other lucid techniques.

      So how does the visualization help me to get lucid? The place from my visualization & my LD weren't the same either.

      I should note that visualization isn't a must for MILD. MILD is about placing an intention to become lucid next time you dream, and it uses your perspective memory (PM)(the part of your memory responsible for reminding you about future intentions). That being said, visualization increases your success rate bcz it makes the intention stronger since you're visualizing your intention. In other words, it helps insist this job more strongly to your PM, which stays active during sleep time and waits till it's dream time and reminds you of your intention to become lucid.

      So one factor to making your PM do a better job is for you to place stronger intentions. There is another very important one. You can actually train your PM. It becomes stronger. Training it is super easy! Just use it. It's like a muscle that becomes stronger the more you train it. In the morning, choose 2 things you know will happen during the day, and place the intention to RC whenever you see one. Later you can add more than 2 once you get the hang of it.
      See how this would also help if you use dream signs?
