The watch vibrates more gently and I can not set the length (10 seconds), I usually use a countdown of about 6h from the moment I close my eyes at bed time, and it gently wakes me up 6hs later.
I only use the watch to completely wake me up, and from this point I can start the gymboss program to shortly bring me back at different intervals while I cross N-REM stage prior to REM stage.
This game takes a lot of time to find the perfect setting.
The brain will do everything it can to integrate the vibrations into your dream, and it is strongly likely to induce FA where you dream tha you turn the alarm off, or this kinda tricky stuff.
A too strong vibration, or to violent awakening leads to a kind of reset of the sleep schedule, so don't expect to enter very easily in the REM stage, if it was so simple, I would have tons of successful DEILD/WILD with this toys since I have been trying to use it.
To wake you up fast, the vibration has to be strong
to wake you up gently, the vibration has to be gentle but longer.
The perfect setting for a night is not the perfect setting for the following night any longer (brain seams to adapt itself)
I'll follow your results.
Good luck.
