      Dream Journal Time Constraints

I've made the decision to get back into lucid dreaming and so I'm starting with the basics: daily reality checks and keeping a dream-journal.

So for the past few days when I have a dream and wakeup I immediately write in my dream journal. It's working in that I am remembering more of my dreams and now seem to wakeup after every dream. The problem is my writing is terrible when I'm half-asleep and sometimes is just scribbles going diagonally across the page , also I'm sleeping in more and getting broken sleep which isn't ideal because I have lots of stuff to do during the day.

Anyone got any good dream-journal solutions that work for them?

Write down notes in the morning to remember the dream and then when you have more time during the day, properly write down the dream.
Or you could record the dreams in a phone maybe.

I started to use a tags method described in this thread, and it mostly works. Dream Recall Compendium
Waking up every day with a beam of the moonlight in my eye
Stimulate my consciousness with the focus of my mind
I've got to take myself back to the feeling of eternally breaking free
Knowing that my body's motionless and still asleep
