How to get out of negative thinking

I have just woken from a semi lucid dream....once i realised i was dreaming i said with confidence 'i am going to fly' then jumped forwards and landed on my stomach....but later i wanted to steal and drive a nice and fast car and so i did and went very fast.
For the past year now everytime i try and fly i have a suspician than it wont work so ofcourse it wont.....because i know theres a chance that flying wont work leaves me negative about the situation whoch causes failure....not sure how to get out of this one o.o

try to ride off the high you get when you realize your dreaming and jump into the air sooner than later.. worked for me.

Perhaps you can first do other stuff until you feel more at home in "the dreamworld". You could ask random dream characters if they can fly and when you find one who can fly, ask her if she can teach you. Jumping from a high place works for me. Machines are also useful, maybe you can get a car to drive really fast and go off a ramp? Those are some ideas but the general point is to be creative and find different approaches than simply jumping forwards and hoping to fly through sheer will power.

      Spoiler for Justification by Zoth:

      The BIG Transformation guide
And that tutorial about shapeshifting/transformation contains lots of clever, simple, creative ways to do things that seem extremely difficult if you'd do it through sheer willpower (just standing there and hoping for it to happen) and maybe it will inspire you to find creative and easy ways to fly.

You could drink a flying potion or put on wings. Try to trick your mind

      Good luck, fellow adventurer

Also, a personal tip and I don't know if this'll work for others. When you are ready to sleep, count down from 100, counting on the in-breath and thinking "flying" on each out breath. I started doing this ~1 week ago and I went from getting lucid 1-3 times a week to once a day on average. (one night i didnt get lucid and another night twice) by saying "lucid dreaming" on the out breath.
