I personally think sleep pattern doesn't matter. |

I tend to have 1 or 2 lucid dreams a month and due to how I live my life I should be having 1 or 2 a week.Iv been meditating daily for over a year now....I record my dreams and reality check when I feel necessary yet I still have endless dreams where I wake up kicking myself that I didn't question the obvious things I saw in my dreams that should of made me lucid. |

I think for getting lucid dreams the only real factor is the amount of time you spend in REM. The specific times at which you do have REM I wouldn't think would matter too much. However, professionals in the sleep medicine field as well as psychology will tell you that a regular sleep pattern is the best way to avoid any issues with your health and sleep quality. I can for sure tell a difference when I am following a sleep schedule and the quality of my dream recall and overall health during the day. |
