Was I almost in a DEILD

Hey, I’ve been trying to DEILD for like 3 nights in a row and I just got back into lucid dreaming about a week ago. I’ve started to remember about 3-4 dreams a night again in decent detail. For some reason I wake up after everyone so its the perfect opportunity to DEILD. After one of the 3 dreams I remember last I was able to stay absolutely still after I woke up. I tried imagining the dream I woke up from but I think where I went wrong is when my mind started racing too much about SP and my other dreams in the night rather than just focusing on one dream. Both my hands felt really heavy and I was able to picture some of my dream but then I lost it and woke up fully, how close was i?

      Pretty close, good job!

What will help you in next attempt is to know that you do not need to focus on the last dream. You can think of any dream, or just pretty much anything else. It doesn't happen always, that your mind turns your thoughts into those exact images. It's enough to think about anything, or even nothing at all.

When you are close to falling asleep (and in a DEILD, you are), you will see images (HH), which can be of any detail or sharpness. From foggy ones to sharp pictures or even HD videos. Or, you will see none of that. Instead, you may feel motion, such as falling through your mattress, or going up, or moving forward at fast speed, or just being heavy, light, or anything, really. Or you may hear sounds. You can have all of them, some of them, or NONE of them. And you may be asleep. So waiting for any images or for anything to happen, may prevent you from noticing that you are already asleep, without any indication that you are.

Here is a thread about anything that can be experienced when WILDing. And DEILD is just a short for of a WILD. Read through the questions and answers too, as they have lot more information which I didn't put into the first post. https://www.dreamviews.com/wake-init...into-wild.html

DEILD (WILD) is my favorite LD induction. Good luck and let us know how you doing : D

Another indication of being close to falling asleep is feeling sleepy.
