“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” (or better yet: three...)

No theory, no ready-made system, no book that has ever been written will save the world. I cleave to no system. I am a true seeker. - Mikhail Bakunin

Why?
I too have been experiencing thses sors of dreams lately and it is annoying though sometimes still interesting but usually totally disjointed with little continuity. I'm too boring to smoke, but do enjoy a drink or two in the evening, but this has not been to any greater degree than normal. |
I dont drink or smoke, and dreams like this make up the majority... Dont know how to help lol, I only gain lucidity either when I an in 1st person, or if I am in 3rd person then I have to be like controlling myself, just observing from and different place. I havent obtained lucidity in the dreams where it seems sort of like a movie as you are describing |
Cheis. Dailo.
It's tough to bring someone back that never really lived.
I always dream in the 3rd person, so urr.. I dunno what to say. I've gone lucid plenty of times. *Shrugs* |
That's one thing I want to improve on is to be able to dream first person more often. That's when I find it really obvious that I'm in a dream and so much more fun. Practice makes perfect I guess. |
where did you get the idea that he smoked a lot? |
Dont worry...next time you go to bed try to visualize yourself in first person as your drifting off...imagine playing some kind of sport or something, as you get into it you'll eventually stop trying and it will feel second nature to you, if you drift slowly into sleep like this most likely you'll be in first person in a lucid dream. Try to make the dream last as long as you can. If you cant stop your dreams from ending just try spinning in circles when your vision fades, keep it going and dont think about it too hard. |
GAH! this bugs me too! I havn't gone lucid while wanting to yet, and i was worried about this aswell, even when i try to sleep i think about the day or things I want to dream about in 3rd person. Most of the dreams I have are 3rd person and up untill just recently starting to keep a DJ they have been in 1st person view. I'm ADD so not getting excited or focusing my awareness isnt something i could be good at |
