Post

Last night i had 2 lucid dreams i can remember, both of which there was something that just hit me in my thoughts so both times i decided to see if it was a dream.

It seems though I was already completely lucid so i tested lucid abilities, they worked.

My dream recall is still seriously on the fritz though and i cant remember much of them at all

You been keeping a dream journal?

And how come this topic is called "My Reality Checks"? What kinds do you do?

What i meant by 'reality checks' is that instead of doing a nose or hand rc, i just try and use some random ability. Which strikes me as rather odd because if i do an RC during the day it will be a hand rc.

And i have been trying to keep my dj but lately i havnt been able to bother turning a light on and writing my dream down in the middle of the night, honestly i'd rather be asleep.

Using or trying something that would be impossible in waking life is considered a RC. I've done it before as well, cause i've read about it on these forums.

I have enourmous dream recall, and have had several lucid dreams over the past year, but i feel that i am having trouble with attaining lulcidity more regulary... I do reality checks, and keep a dream journal... As an RC i try and do something impossible - maybe i should do the nose touch or something that is possible?

I use a big pad next to my bed on top of my dj with a pen. When I remember a dream, and am still sleepy just pick up the pad and write the main key points in the dark - it does look quite scruffy in the morning but just some key words or a few lines can jog a hole page of a dream that I later write in my dj. I get pissed off at myself if I just think ohh I will remember that one in the morning, because it hardly ever works like that and gets overwritten with a new dream or a blank mind.

That's a good idea. Just a few keywords in the night...

Whenever you can't be bothered or simply just don't have time, just take brief notes or a sketch. It works for me, but I usually rewrite the dream and expand it later.
