Yes, its very effective. First time I did it I didnt know what I did but then I came upon this and found out that I used this technique. You'll usualy get the full experience of HI (I get the screams and everything), then for a moment its silent, then the dreamscape creates around you. Not the most clear thing but just rub you hands and lucid away! I'm very in favor of this technique. Who came upon it again? K--- somebody? |

An Idea. A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules.
DEILD: 3
DILD: 1
Thanks, i'll be trying it tonight. |

I'm pretty sure Klace mentioned this in his tutorial/Faq thing too. Try using autosuggestion, I think it's called. Just tell yourself a phrase like "I will wake up after having a dream, but I will not open my eyes or move" while drifting off to sleep and after a few days you're body will actually do this. Give it a try, works for me. |

Current Lucid Goals

Are you dreaming, Truff? ARE YOU?!
(For reality checks)
You can open your eyes. Well...at least I can. I dunno about other people. But when you wake up from a lucid, just close your eyes and go back into that state....or at least...intend to. You might just end up lucid again. If you practice enough. But you also might just go back to sleep and forget what your original lucid was about. :p |

Though I don't use one, I would definitely recommend one, especially of you wake up from your dreams near the morning where light can seep in your room. |

I use this alot, i never lucid dream during the night, their always in the morning after i just wake up. Yesterday, i woke up, stayed still, and watched for something (i wasn't sure what, it's always really random.) Eventually a light appeared in the middle of my vision, I had my eyes closed of course, it came closer and closer until it washed over me and on the other side was a fully formed dream, and i knew instatly that i was lucid. And today, i had a dream it started with an unseen hand drawing a picture of a guy in jail, and somehow, i put myself into the jail and flew away, there was one that started as a cartoon tour of a tech lab, i've had quite a few weird ones, but anyway, this is the only technique that ever works for me. Good Luck. |

Great posts everyone, but don't you think such feedback would be better suited in the actual DEILD topic? |
