wow, I'm amazed at so many people trying this technique and getting it really fast, I know I had to work like 4 weeks in a row, before I even got a few lucky ones, and I still can't get it on command, but I think I know what you guys do, but I don't, you just wake up naturaly and do it, and don't worry if it's the right way, I'm going to try that alot very soon, I also notice you try to make the scene reather then search something random, you build up from basic memory's of things.

oh yeah that and I just suck really bad at visualising in the morning.

I think it works best if you don't think about it before you go to sleep. Like, last night when i went to bed, i never thought about having a lucid dream, i just went to sleep then happened to wake up really early, then it sort of just came to me and i imagined something familiar like walking/running downstairs, and i just became aware that i was dreaming, and i was lucid...

edit: btw, it didn't last very long when i was lucid, only a few seconds. But i was still happy that the technique worked at least..

I read in a nother post you should tell yourself "you will have a Lucid Dream" and "you will awaken in your dreams" before you go to bed to prompt your subconcious later.
      I dunno.

Yeh thats what i do and almost guarantees a lucid but i repeat the affirmation when i wake up in the night. The success rate of this method depends on the individual.

Didn't work for me... but I used an alarm clock to wake up. Perhaps that isn't as effective as waking up naturally.

I'll try again, since I have a long time to sleep in tomorrow and won't have to worry about using an alarm clock or waking up on time.

So you go straight into the Lucid like a WILD?
or do you sleep first and then dream after imagining yourself there like a MILD?

I use this technique before I go to bed, and I fall asleep and have a Lucid immediately. The only problem I have is that this technique seems to draw on places you know, which means the lucids happen in places you know, which leads me to thinking it hasn't worked, so I wake myself up.

Now, if I can get past this, I will be laughing because this technique seriously improves my powers inside the dreamscape. Have always had problems getting rid of DCs that annoyed me. This week I have "dissolved" 8 DCs. 4 the night before last, 3 last night. Oh, also have done more teleporting in the last 2 days than I have done in the rest of this month combined. Love this technique!

I attempted this technique last night, and I'm pretty sure it worked. However once I realized I was dreaming, I think I either woke up, or lost all lucidity.

I woke up in the night, imagined being in my room, in bed, and I got up, ran out the door and up the stairs outside and to my car. By the time I got to my car I knew I was dreaming because my friend Nick was standing there, so I take a look at my hands and they're absolutely gigantic. After this I can't remember what happened.

I'm sick of how people are trying to sell their techniques! Sounds like an advertisement! "100% guarantee! 100% of the time!" Congratulations, you've found a technique that works for you. Now don't try selling it off as if they work for the majority!

      Sorry...

This is a very effective method i believe... I acctually had an LD a couple days ago in which I met my dream guide... This LD started in my front yard following the "wave" I became lucid almost immediately. I'm going to try taking a nap see if it works again.

      Greetings,
I thought this was a very interesting techniique so I thought I'd give it a try. Went to bed and woke up a couple of hours later. I too remembered this post and thought I'd give it a try. Found myself dreaming about another technique, based on mathematics developed by the wife of some guy in my dream. Seemed perfectly logical at the time and was getting ready to try it when I got awoken by my wife kissing the back of my neck and I got....well....distracted. There's always tomorrow!!

Yeah, we should totally keep any technique that works really well for us to ourselves.
After all, it's not like we want to help other attain lucid dreams.
I mean, what does he think this is, a forum based on attaining lucidity?

BTW the very first thing he said..."I first want to say that this works for me 100% of the time and I dont know if it will work for anyone else."

Anyways, this sounds like a good idea. My first LD was a long time ago when I was back in elementary. I visualised the place, and bam - I was lucid. It probably worked because I knew it so well. I'm going to try this pretty soon, thanks.

      QFT

My second attempt of this technique also failed, sadly. I think the problem was that I moved around too much before going back to sleep though. Will continue trying (since it's such an easy technique, I might as well).
