Could I Subconciously Create Synthetic SP?

So I half assed a WILD attempt last night before I went to bed. No I did not actually wake up in the middle of the night like im supposed to. I was just having a hard time sleeping and practicing my sitting still.

Anyway, my eyes felt really uncomfortable, so I try to open them and my lids are super heavy. I get really excited that I might actually be really close to sleep. After a few minutes, my eyelids start to spasm. Then, different parts of my body start shaking. Eventually, I'm shaking all over as if it were cold! After a bit of this, nothing happens. Failed attempt.

My question is, could I, in a desperate attempt to WILD, shake my own body into a spasm? I really don't think that was sleep paralysis as it felt like I was controlling it. Has this happened to anyone else?

I think you just got excited and started to shake a bit hehe. The vibrations you experience during SP are very distinct, you'd know if you felt them...and they can't be controlled. Well...that's not entirely true but I won't get into that lol.

I'm not sure anymore. I felt the shaking thing too when I tried a half-assed WILD from when I went to bed. Anyways, I was there, and I felt this wierd sensation in my legs, moving up and down, like small needles (not painful).

Then I kept hearing Another Brick in The Wall (Part 2) by Pink Floyd, but just a part over and over. It wasn't like a song stuck in my head, it was like actually hearing it...

I hear FILD technique uses a similar method. They send an impulse to two fingers, and feel as if they are moving them (like a flinch), but don't actually move them. It's supposed to make dream re-entry more possible.

I wouldn't be surprised if you did feel vibrations since you were experiencing hypnogogic auditory hallucinations, which for me usually happens at the same time or right next to, when I get the vibrations.
