I do know that they could take a while and would be a lot of work, but worth it. I myself can do the first two.
One: use your mind to get rid of pain. This can be done a lot of ways. First off, you could simply tell yourself something like " pain is only a messenger. pain has no real meaning if I can control it. " You could also tell yourself something along the lines of " the pain will disappear if I tell it to. "
Two: do something else with your mind that is harder. Make a cold shower hot. For this, tell yourself either " the water is hot and there is no way around it " or " the water will be hot when I say it is ".
Teach yourself to be ambidextrous: This is definitely one of the trickiest, but it will go a long ways towards developing your mental discipline. Being ambidextrous means that you can use your dominant hand almost as well as your non dominant hand. A lot of people can do this, it just takes some practice. Just use your non dominant hand to do simple tasks.
